After more than two hours of searching, the rescue team found two trapped individuals and safely rescued them down the mountain.

In summer, many citizens like to invite three to five friends to climb mountains and enjoy the cool. On July 2nd, two hikers were stranded on the Happy Mountain while walking on a wild road.
At 1:30 am on July 2nd, the Wolong Police Station received a report from a man named Wang stating that he was trapped in Xingfu Mountain in Wolong Town and needed rescue. Due to the dense fog surrounding him, he did not know the specific location. After receiving the alarm, the Wolong Branch immediately carried out rescue work in accordance with the emergency plan. At 1:45 am, the first rescue team consisting of 7 people from the Wolong Police Station, 119 emergency rescue departments, and local guides, braved the rain and went up the mountain to carry out rescue operations.
"It rained and fogged heavily that night." According to Yu Tao, the deputy director of the Wolong Police Station who led the rescue team, at around 4am, the rescue team found a sleeping person lying on the ground at an altitude of about 3000 meters on their way up the mountain. Rescue workers woke him up, and the man said he thought he had gone down the mountain and was sleeping at home, so he took off some of his clothes.
After a brief rest, the man regained his composure and looked at the rescuers in front of him, thanking them in a weak voice. The police learned that the man, Jiang, is in his twenties and comes from Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, but he is not the informant.
"We invited us online to climb the mountain, but everyone else left," Jiang said. They set off from Chengdu at 10:00 am on June 30th to Wolong Nature Reserve, and started climbing Xingfu Mountain in Wolong Town at 1:00 pm that day. They plan to go downhill on July 1st. Due to his own physical strength and other reasons, he was unable to keep up with the team. After nightfall, it rained and fogged, and he got lost and fell asleep on the mountain until he was rescued.
Rescue personnel enter the mountains late at night to search and rescue
After rescuing Jiang, rescue personnel continued to search and rescue the reporter Wang on foot. Half an hour later, a man lying on the roadside was found at an altitude of about 3300 meters. Rescue workers woke up the man and learned that he was Wang, 26 years old, from Luzhou City, Sichuan Province.

Wang introduced that he departed from Chengdu with his companions at 9:00 pm on June 30th and arrived in Wolong Town at around 1 pm that day to start hiking. He plans to go downhill on July 1st. Due to the loss of the backpack he carried with him during the mountaineering journey, as well as the fog that formed after heavy rain on the mountain, he lost his direction and later sought help from the police.
Wang claimed that after being trapped, he was both hungry and thirsty. He found a leaf by a stream and said, "After using the leaf to fill the water, he drank it and even ate the leaf. Later, he fell asleep in a daze and even had hallucinations. He felt that there were many people and 'monsters' around him, feeling cold, hungry, and tired."
According to the police, when they discovered the two individuals, there were still mountain grasshoppers on their legs.

After verification by the police, it was found that both Jiang and Wang contacted others through "Xiaohongshu" and invited strangers to each other through WeChat on their mobile phones. They set off from Chengdu to Xingfu Mountain in Wolong Town together. As most of the colleagues did not know each other and did not reserve contact information, they were abandoned by other colleagues after most of them left the mountain on July 1st. Other colleagues did not contact the two trapped individuals or call the police for help after descending the mountain, but returned to Chengdu on their own. "The two men are not in the same team, but they are both strangers invited online to climb the mountain together," Yu Tao explained.
The police provided breakfast for the two people
