On the 19th local time, according to Qatar News Agency, the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that from now on, the Qatar Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and the Consulate General in Dubai, as well as the UAE Embassy in Doha, the capital of Qatar, will reopen and resume operations.
According to the UAE National News, the UAE government confirmed the reopening of its embassy in Doha on that day, while the Qatar embassy in Abu Dhabi and consulate in Dubai will also resume work today.
On that day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahayan, and the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, had a phone conversation to welcome the reopening of embassies between the two countries. Both sides pointed out that this will lead to a new stage of cooperation and partnership between the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, as well as deepen the brotherly relationship between the two peoples and achieve mutual interests.

The UAE will resume economic, trade, and personnel exchanges with Qatar in 2021, but the UAE stated that it will still take time for the two countries to fully restore diplomatic relations.
