There's no such thing as "military Maotai"! Ningxia seized 3500 bottles of counterfeit military liquor products | commercial | counterfeit
Are there really so-called military specialty goods and military Maotai? A recent case discovered in Ningxia reminds us once again that it is strictly prohibited to use the People's Liberation Army and the People's Armed Police for commercial propaganda.
According to a report by CCTV Military and Watchman Helan on the 19th, a private car caught the attention of the Ningxia Military Region Security Office during its inspection mission this year. It is suspected that there are military armband style identification vehicles on both sides of the body, and the words "military liquor sales" are also marked on the rear glass. After discovering it, the inspector immediately took photos and followed suit, and found the company to which the vehicle belonged.
According to the survey, the company has registered a WeChat official account, and has sold more than 40 categories of "military liquor and military products" in public, with an electronic color page for "military liquor" sales. After further investigation, it was found that the company is mainly responsible for the delivery of "military liquor" after sales, and the supplier behind it is Mr. Li.
In 2020, under the instigation of friends, Li smelled the so-called "business opportunities" of "military" brand products and began to engage in the sales of "military liquor". After obtaining more evidence, the Ningxia Military Region Security Office, in conjunction with the Yinchuan Public Security Bureau and the Jinfeng District Branch of the Yinchuan Market Supervision Administration, conducted inspections and corrections on its sales stores and warehouses, sealing 12 varieties, more than 600 items, and more than 3500 bottles of suspected "military" brand liquor, with a total amount of hundreds of thousands of yuan. And impose a fine of 30000 yuan on the company, confiscate military liquor without a factory name or location, and order it to rectify immediately.
In recent years, some operators have openly or indirectly used the name of the military, using military specific words and patterns to produce and sell counterfeit and shoddy goods such as "Military Maotai" and "Military Exclusive Supply", seriously damaging the reputation and image of the military and affecting the governance of the national economic environment. In order to maintain the good image of the People's Liberation Army, social public interests, and market operation order, in 2022, the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission and six other departments jointly issued a notice on prohibiting the sale of "military" brand tobacco, alcohol, and other goods.
