Comprehensive Russian Sputnik News Agency, Deutsche Presse-Agentur and Agence France Presse reported that on August 29, Russia said that Ukrainian troops shelled a village in Bryansk State on the Russian border, causing casualties.
Alexander Bogomaz, the governor of Oblast, stated on the social media platform Telegram that the Ukrainian army shelled the village of Klimov, resulting in fatalities.
Bogomaz said, "Two civilians died, a boy born in 2003 and a girl born in 1994. In addition, a man suffered minor injuries and all necessary medical assistance has been provided to him."
The report stated that the shelling caused damage to a school building, as well as multiple residential buildings and administrative facilities. The staff of the emergency department are working at the site of the incident and have provided medical assistance to the injured. Klimov Village is located in the southwest of Bryansk Oblast, bordering Chernihiv Oblast and Sumy Oblast in Ukraine.
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that on the early morning of August 30th, Ukraine's attempt to launch drone attacks on multiple targets within Russia was thwarted.
The news said, "On the early morning of August 30th, the Kiev regime attempted to carry out terrorist attacks on multiple targets within Russia using drones."
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated, "Three Ukrainian drones were shot down over Bryansk Oblast, while another drone was shot down by an air defense duty system over Oryol Oblast."
The Russian Ministry of Defense also announced that a Ukrainian drone was destroyed by an air defense duty system over Kaluga.
On August 30, the website of the Russian Sputnik News Agency reported that Mikhail Weijernikov, the governor of the Russian state of Pskov, said that the Russian Ministry of Defense was counterattacking drone attacks at the Pskov airport.
"The Russian Ministry of Defense is retaliating against a drone attack at Pskov Airport. I have been on the scene since the incident occurred. According to preliminary information, no one has died," wrote Vezelnikov on the "Telegraph" social media platform
Vezelnikov stated that all flights at Pskov Airport were cancelled until the nature of possible runway damage was determined.
Rescue workers said that a large fire broke out at Pskov Airport after being attacked by drones, and the fire was under control with no threat of fire spreading.
