In the Yidong community of Tangqiao Street, the community garden managed by residents - Rose Garden - is a good place for residents to relax and enjoy flowers. Li Chunpeng, the backbone volunteer of the Rose Garden Autonomous Team, was originally just an ordinary resident who loved gardening. Now, with this "rose bond", she has become the autonomous backbone of the community, leading people around her to participate in various community public welfare and autonomous projects.
When it comes to Li Chunpeng, residents of Yidong know that she is not only the green leader of the rose garden, but also an advocate for beautifying homes and an environmental sanitation volunteer. "I am 67 years old this year and have lived in Yidong for more than ten years. I enjoy gardening and am a volunteer in the community's greening group. I also want to contribute to the community's environment. Therefore, with the support of the community's party branch, I started planning a plan to improve the community's greening with my friends." Li Chunpeng recalled.
Li Chunpeng and other volunteers conducted repeated on-site surveys of three green landscape areas in the residential area, including the west gate, underground garage entrance and exit, and the large slope lawn. They formulated improvement and upgrading measures, identified 20 green renovation points, and proposed reasonable suggestions one by one to help draft green environment improvement and renovation plans for residential areas. This plan has been recognized by the street and officially implemented in the Yidong community.
The Rose Garden is an important component of the plan, and as the initiator, Li Chunpeng was fully involved in the construction of the Rose Garden. She not only donated money to support the construction of the rose garden, but also personally cleaned up underground construction waste and improved the soil at the construction site. She also went out with her companions to buy healthy flower seedlings. After the completion of the Rose Garden, she devoted a lot of time and energy here, pruning, weeding, soil cultivation, watering... so that the garden could be presented to the residents in its best appearance.
How to enhance the overall appearance of the community by enhancing greenery that catches the attention of residents? How to keep the hallway clean and tidy? Li Chunpeng proposed the autonomous management content of his own building, ensuring that there is no stacking at the doorstep and furniture waste is disposed of at designated locations. She also invested her own money to paint the hallway and purchase grass seeds to further beautify the surrounding greenery of the building. She advocated for the establishment of a "Health and Greening Fund" through the building leader, and received support from all residents of the building. They jointly invested more than 2000 yuan to purchase and decorate potted flowers on a quarterly basis, making the corridor lush with greenery.
Now, Li Chunpeng has become a community environmental sanitation volunteer, participating in volunteer services such as garbage sorting, plant adoption, and public health. She is also the environmental supervisor of the community, and if she is unable to handle any issues personally, she immediately informs the property management for disposal. More and more residents are becoming familiar with Li Chunpeng and supporting her public welfare cause. Li Chunpeng also fully utilizes the power of the masses to guide everyone to participate in more community affairs. The Yidong Autonomous Team from Rose Garden is making the community more livable and civilized.
