The World University Athlete Cultural Exchange Activity officially launched (welcoming the style of the Universiade) Culture | Museum | Humanities
Our newspaper, Chengdu, July 26. The launching ceremony of "Youth Blooming-Humanities Exchange Activities for World College Student Athletes" was held on the evening of the 26th in the new museum of Sichuan University Museum.
This event is hosted by the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Education, and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government.
That evening, a series of cultural exchange activities, including the "National Treasure New Rhyme" Museum Cultural and Creative Collection, the "Universiade Memory" Foreign Youth Image Program, the "Joyful Reading of China" Cultural Boutique Exhibition, and the "Charming Intangible Cultural Heritage" Chinese Intangible Cultural Experience Activity, were officially released.
At the launching ceremony, the Peking Opera "Genshin Impact: Goddess Cleaving the Temple" appeared again. The harp ensemble played famous Chinese and foreign songs, and Chinese and foreign youth sang the Universiade songs together, presenting the dialogue and exchange between traditional and modern, eastern and western civilizations.
It is reported that as one of the important projects of this exchange activity, "Youth In Time" - the 31st Chengdu Summer Universiade Athletes' Gala will be held on the evening of the 29th at the ASEAN Art Center Theater in Dayun Village. It will provide a stage for college athletes to exchange and interact, enhance understanding, and deepen friendship through various forms such as Chinese style, folk music, Chuanjiang horn, rap, street dance, and electronic sound.
"This is a very meaningful and exciting moment, where various cultures collide. I believe that the Universiade is a good opportunity to reflect the connotation of a community with a shared future for mankind," said Ricardo Romani, mentor of the International Federation of Youth Journalists Program.
At the event venue, foreign university students enthusiastically experienced traditional Chinese sports such as cuju, pitching, archery, and diabolo. The cultural and creative exhibition jointly organized by more than 20 well-known domestic museums, including the Palace Museum and the National Museum of China, has also pushed the atmosphere of the event to a climax.
"The museum's cultural and creative collection connects sports and culture in a polymorphic way, which is a true youthful form." Wu Hongliang, the director and curator of the Beijing Academy of Painting, said at the launch ceremony, "A set of letterhead, a sachet, a doll, and even a small refrigerator sticker will make Chinese culture shine and transmit new energy."

Writer Alai, as an invited guest of the event, said that the convening of the international sports event has built a broad bridge for peaceful exchanges between the Chinese nation and the world.
After the official launch of the series of cultural exchange activities, the athlete village of the Chengdu Universiade will become even more lively and bustling. During the trial operation period of the event, many athletes in the Dayun Village have come to the experience venue to learn shadow puppetry, draw face masks, and wear Hanfu from the inheritors of intangible cultural heritage
"Athletes from all over the world have different cultures and languages, and sports can effectively eliminate 'differences' and establish connections." Egyptian student Liu Zhengxi, who has participated in the' Chinese Bridge 'competition multiple times, sighed that the Universiade is also an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange.
At the event site, the Sichuan University Museum, in collaboration with six domestic university museums, including Peking University Sackler Archaeology and Art Museum and Sun Yat sen University Museum, issued a lifetime free visit invitation to all athletes participating in the Universiade.
