Promoting employment, the whole society is taking action
Guangming Daily reporter Zhou Shixing and Wang Jinwen
Wearing water shoes, holding umbrellas, and conducting river patrols and inspections in townships, promoting fishing bans and testing the quality of aquatic products... Recently, Mo Tingting, a graduate of Guangxi Agricultural Vocational and Technical University in 2023, has worked as a technician for aquatic and fishery affairs at the Aquatic Technology Promotion Station of the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Lingui District, Guilin City.
Since May, Guangxi has successively launched a grassroots employment promotion campaign for college graduates, introducing preferential policies and encouraging graduates to engage in grassroots work. Mo Tingting said, "College students should actively engage in grassroots work, apply their knowledge to serve the rural revitalization strategy, and make agriculture strong and farmers prosperous."
In Guangxi, more and more college graduates are choosing to go to the grassroots to serve the country. Luo Jianyuan, a 2023 undergraduate student from Guangxi University, originally registered to participate in the Guangxi Civil Service and Guangxi University Targeted Recruitment Examination, but he ultimately voluntarily chose to work in remote grassroots positions. "As a party member, I have the responsibility and obligation to respond to the call of the Party Central Committee, go to the grassroots to experience myself, and pursue the value of youth in the era," said Luo Jianyuan.
Mo Tingting and Luo Jianyuan are both beneficiaries of the 2023 Guangxi Employment Plan for College Graduates. In April, Guangxi issued the "2023 Guangxi University Graduates Employment Plan" work plan, which coordinated the implementation of six key service actions, implemented the employment assistance plan for low-income students in general universities, and held uninterrupted recruitment activities for university graduates throughout Guangxi, providing 800000 employment positions throughout the year.
"I can personally experience the thirst for general practitioners at the grassroots level." Zhu Haoran, a recent graduate of Guangxi Medical University, has been confirmed to work at Dongping Town Central Health Center in Yulin City. During his school years, Zhu Haoran provided services at the grassroots level in more than 10 townships. "Grassroots are vast and promising, requiring a large amount of young energy," said Zhu Haoran.
Targeting employment goals and providing pre employment resources in Guangxi, six targeted training programs have been launched, including targeted free medical students in rural areas, targeted agricultural technicians in townships, targeted natural resource management professionals in comprehensive service institutions for rural construction, targeted training programs for grassroots water conservancy talents, targeted training programs for general practitioners in rural primary schools, and targeted training programs for bilingual teachers in primary schools. The number of targeted training programs in 2023 is nearly 5000.
Since the beginning of this year, large-scale dual selection events at the regional level in Guangxi have added a special area for promoting employment and entrepreneurship policies in Guangxi, providing policy interpretation, entrepreneurship consulting and other services for graduates, distributing a list of employment and entrepreneurship policy services in Guangxi, and an employment and entrepreneurship service manual; Establish employment consultation service areas such as the Special Post Plan, "Three Supports and One Assistance", Rural Revitalization Coordinator Plan, and conscription to help graduates understand policies and make good use of them. We will vigorously guide grassroots employment in urban and rural communities, rely on the implementation of grassroots employment projects, and increase policy promotion and guidance efforts.
