From the perspective of a third party, the killing of a 17-year-old North African boy by French police is indeed an unacceptable tragedy that requires careful investigation and reflection on the various issues involved; But it subsequently triggered nationwide riots, which intensified and exposed more social governance issues.

Many things are particularly heartbreaking.

Greater Paris is the worst hit area, so grab what you have and burn what you have. Carrefour was robbed, the shopping center was burned, and several city halls were burned.

What legal order is completely non-existent.

In Marseille, a gun shop was looted, and about 30 people stole 5-8 hunting guns, making people take a breath of cold air.

In Lyon, the Fourth Police Station was looted, and the police were unable to protect their office space, which made people sigh uncontrollably.

In Strasbourg, an Apple store in the city center was also ransacked.

In Amiens, a newly completed library was also burned down, and the mayor sadly said that only a few books and a burnt building frame were rescued in the end.

Multiple zoos have been impacted, and some lions and elephants have also been released. Poor animals don't know where to go.

The Holocaust Memorial Hall, a sacred place, has also been subjected to various graffiti and destruction.

The videos on social networks are even more shocking.

Everywhere was a blaze of flames, followed by one car after another, telling the story of the tragic fate they had experienced.

Those who know know know that this is France, this is Paris; People who don't know still think that this is Ukraine, Bahmut under the ravages of war.

The local people are worried and fearful, and foreign tourists are a nightmare.

Looking at social media, a tourist from a Western country was clearly besieged and beaten by a group of black clad youths on the street. Poor tourist, apart from protecting his head with his hands, had nothing to do.

Chinese people in France also suffer. According to a report by The European Times, on the Chinese Street in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, shop windows on both sides were smashed, and roadside vehicles were burned, resembling a battlefield.

Some Chinese tourists who go to France have experienced unexpected fright. Their bus was attacked in Marseille, window glass was smashed, and several tourists were lightly injured.

The passengers in the car urgently called the Chinese Consulate General in Marseille, and my diplomat immediately assisted in reporting the incident and coordinating with the police to clear the situation. This group of Chinese tourists eventually stopped going to Paris and quickly went to Switzerland.

Upon seeing the Chinese Embassy in France issue an emergency notice:

Remind me, as a Chinese citizen traveling to France, to closely monitor the social security situation in France, avoid going to areas of protests and violent conflicts, and take practical measures to strengthen personal, vehicle, residential, and commercial safety precautions. Temporary visitors to France should especially be vigilant and travel with caution. Why is this happening?

The reasons are undoubtedly multifaceted. It's completely my personal opinion.

Firstly, the death of a 17-year-old North African youth touched the most sensitive nerves in France.

It's simple. If the deceased teenager comes from the East, such as China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, etc., even if the same reason is difficult to accept, it should not have such serious consequences.

But in France, there are many African immigrants who often complain about facing racial discrimination and have long harbored anger.

The French police made the least worthy mistake and provoked the least worthy crowd.

Secondly, many French people have grievances in their daily lives, and this time they have a sudden outburst.

There is no need to say more about this.

Every protest in France often triggers riots. This time, the incident became the most serious in 20 years.

Thirdly, the strong mobilization ability of social media has allowed France to taste the consequences.

Arson on this side, robbery on that side, all posted on the internet, doesn't this allow more people to take advantage of it?

Moreover, wherever there is fighting, smashing, and looting, there can be chaos, and people interact with each other on social media, which further exacerbates the spread of the incident.

So, Macron also stated that he wants these social media platforms to have a good conversation, and some video information must be deleted.

Fourthly, the issue of family discipline is a concern for many French children.

According to the French police, the average age of the arrested rioters is only 17 years old.

Don't believe it, a major characteristic of this nationwide riot is that the "main force" is still underage children.

While condemning violence, Macron strongly requests French parents to take good care of their children, because "everyone has seen that the organized, violent, and armed groups that have caused today's situation... many are young people. It is the responsibility of parents to keep their children at home."

Some are issues with poor discipline, while others simply have no time for discipline. According to French media, many rioters come from families with multiple children. "Many children's parents work at night in logistics, cleaning, and public service industries... When children go out at night, these parents are not at home at all.".

Ultimately, it is still a matter of development, fairness, or education.

What's even more worrying is that these "main forces" are still only in their teens and have such "rich street experience". How will it be in the future?!
