According to Reuters on June 15th, a spokesperson for the International Atomic Energy Agency said on the 15th that the agency's delegation briefly stopped due to gunfire when returning to Ukrainian controlled areas after visiting the Russian controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, but the delegation did not face direct danger.
An IAEA spokesperson told Reuters, "The convoy was obstructed and clear gunfire lasted for a few minutes, but the convoy was not in direct danger. The IAEA has no other information about this incident."

According to TASS earlier, Renat Karcha, a consultant to the head of the Russian atomic energy company, accused Ukraine of firing on the convoy led by IAEA Director General Rafael Grosi.

TASS reported that no one was injured and the convoy has safely returned to the Ukrainian controlled city of Zaporizhzhia.
Previously, this delegation visited the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Since Russia's deployment to Ukraine last year, Ukraine and Russia have accused each other of repeatedly shelling the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. These shelling may endanger nuclear safety.
