The Turkish Foreign Minister is going to visit Russia, "there is no 'alternative solution'."
According to Russian Sputnik News Agency on August 26, a source in Ankara said that Türkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Feidan will visit Moscow in early September, and plans to discuss with Russia on the food agreement, Russia Ukraine negotiations, natural gas hub projects and other issues.
The source pointed out, "Foreign Minister Fidan will visit Moscow in early September. The issues that both sides will discuss include a food agreement, the resumption of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, and the natural gas hub project."
According to reports, Fidan visited Ukraine on the 25th and discussed issues such as the Black Sea Food Agreement with Ukrainian President Zelensky.
According to Agence France Presse, Feidan said on the 25th that Türkiye believed that there was no "alternative" to the Black Sea food agreement reached earlier.
During his visit to Kiev, Fidan told reporters, "We are aware that alternative routes are being sought, but we believe that the original agreement did not have any alternative solutions because these alternative routes pose risks."
Feidan said that Türkiye's current focus is to restore the Black Sea Food Agreement.
After Russia withdrew from the Black Sea Food Agreement in July, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that starting from July 20th, Russia will consider all ships bound for Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea as potential military transport ships, and the countries to which such ships fly flags will be considered involved in the Ukrainian conflict.
