A passenger in the car called the security hotline of the Chinese Consulate General in Marseille, and the staff of the Consulate General immediately assisted in reporting to the police and communicating and coordinating with the police. That evening, the group of Chinese passengers safely arrived at the hotel and left France for Switzerland on June 30th.

Ms. Ma and her husband Mr. Wang, a 30-year-old woman from Lin'an, Hangzhou, were witnesses to the incident. They were contacted by media reporters at noon on July 1st.
