Subsequently, the torch "Ronghuo" was passed through Sichuan Jiaotong Vocational and Technical College, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Sichuan Agricultural University and Chengdu Institute of Technology in turn. 152 torchbearers jointly completed the day's relay activities.
After the fire pot and the "Rong Fire" were lit, the first torchbearer and women's Olympic walking champion Wang Liping held the torch high and began the relay with a confident and uplifting spirit. Former professional football player Zou Yougen made his debut as the tenth torchbearer, and being able to serve as the torchbearer excited him immensely. The 75th torchbearer, Zhang Lixing, is the keeper of the giant panda "Sesame" at the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Base. Sesame is also the prototype of the Chengdu Universiade mascot "Rongbao". "Welcome everyone to Chengdu to taste delicious food, appreciate the beautiful scenery, and see giant pandas," said Zhang Lixing.
It is reported that on July 20th and 26th, the torch relay for the Chengdu Universiade will continue to be held in various universities and Dong'an Lake Sports Park within Chengdu city.
