[Focus on Shenzhen Cultural Expo]
After 19 years, the China International Cultural Industry Expo and Trade Fair has grown into the highest standard, largest scale, most effective and influential exhibition in China's cultural industry field. During this process, the unique sub venue model has played a crucial role in promoting the development of the cultural industry. As an important extension and supplement to the main venue, this year's Cultural Expo saw an increase in the number of sub venues from one in the first session to 64, covering the entire city of Shenzhen.
From "standing alone" to "full of spring scenery", the sub venues have revitalized various cultural resources and industries in Shenzhen. From various districts and streets, to various industrial parks and enterprises, the sub venues are not only important display and trading platforms for the development of the cultural industry. By exploring rich and exciting venues, one can also perceive the new trend of the cultural industry and feel the charm of cultural confidence.
Complementary to the development of the cultural industry
"Without the Cultural Expo, there would be no Dafen Oil Painting Village today," Peng Gang, director of the Digital Creative Industry Corridor Management Center in Longgang District, Shenzhen, recalled to reporters the impact of the Cultural Expo on Dafen Oil Painting Village and even the entire cultural industry in Longgang District over the past nineteen years.
Dafen Oil Painting Village was the only sub venue of the first Cultural Expo in 2004. This small village, which focuses on oil painting production, successfully attracted the attention of numerous domestic and foreign merchants through the Cultural Expo platform. In 2005, the oil painting sales of Dafen Oil Painting Village doubled, and the oil painting business market was far ahead in the country. It also drove the development of the surrounding areas of the village, and even radiated to drive the oil painting industry in Guangdong, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangxi, Hong Kong, and Macau.
It is precisely from Dafen that Longgang District and even Shenzhen have tasted the sweetness of "culture+". From the first to the 19th sessions, the sub venue of Dafen Oil Painting Village has never been absent from the Cultural Expo. At the same time, the number of sub venues of the Longgang District Cultural Expo has also increased from 1 to 14, accounting for 22% of the total in Shenzhen. For 13 consecutive years, the total number of sub venues has ranked first in the city.
These sub venues fully combine their own industrial characteristics and carefully plan activities with distinct themes. They not only hope to fully showcase highlights and attract business opportunities, but also hope to achieve ideological collision through rare exchange opportunities and explore higher quality development directions in the future.
Technology empowers vibrant culture
The sub venues of the Cultural Expo are like orchards, carefully cultivating saplings, and ultimately bringing flowers and fruits to the industry. For example, multiple sub venues in Bao'an, a "manufacturing strong area," highlight the development achievements of digital creative industries based on their own characteristics, promote the transformation of cultural industries towards digitalization and intelligence, and showcase the vibrant vitality of the development of digital creative industry clusters.
"The exquisite and trendy virtual scenes inject new vitality into the live broadcast room, and also open a new window for market creation for the brand products in the live broadcast room." At the F518 Creative Park branch in Shenzhen, a brand merchant who experienced XR virtual live streaming technology excitedly told reporters that the digital scenes provided by XR can make artificial intelligence image cutting technology reach the "hairline level" and can be widely used in short video shooting, virtual live streaming, and virtual conferences.
The Shenzhen Xinqiao Film and Television Industry Base sub venue, with the theme of "Bay Area's Impact and Digital New Vision", focuses on the trends of digital technology and the film and television industry, and plans to hold a number of digital technology cultural activities represented by virtual filming and AIGC, focusing on the forefront of the film and television industry.
High end cultural activities benefit the public
In the sub venue, there is also a group of platforms specifically designed to provide high-quality, high-end, rich and diverse cultural masterpieces for Shenzhen citizens. These sub venues have improved the happiness of people's lives in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area by introducing high-quality cultural activities, leading new cultural trends and enhancing the cultural innovation driving force in Shenzhen and even the Greater Bay Area.
At the branch venue of Shenzhen Guangming Cultural and Art Center, with the help of the Cultural Expo platform, the operation and management team collaborated with Lai Shengchuan, Wang Weizhong, screenwriters and directors for the play "Treasure Island Village", the representative work of the famous Russian clown master Slafa Porulin, "The Snow Show of Slafa", the internationally renowned dancer Akash Odry and dancer Hu Shenyuan to choreograph the contemporary dance work "The Path Without a Path", as well as representatives of dance groups and performing arts companies for classic domestic and foreign dramas such as "Carmen", "Swan Lake", and "Nutcracker", to sign and cooperate on site. In the second half of the year, a carefully arranged "cultural feast" will be brought to the people of the Greater Bay Area.
At the branch venue of Shenzhen Binhai Art Center, the Chinese version of the musical "Phantom of the Theater" was performed, the Bay Area Cultural Performance Development Seminar, and the Musical Film Appreciation and Exchange Conference... The rich and high-quality cultural and artistic activities attracted a large number of viewers to visit.
"Culture is not only soft power, but also competitiveness." Zhang Dai, Deputy Director of the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Bao'an District, Shenzhen, expressed the hope that the sub venues will fully utilize the Cultural Expo as an important platform for cultural exchange, trading, and cooperation, fully develop a broad cultural market, transform resource and market advantages into industrial and competitive advantages, provide high-quality cultural and artistic works for the public, and further consolidate and enhance the cultural confidence of the people.
