On July 21st, the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Cyberspace Administration and the Guangdong Greater Bay Area Office jointly organized the "Future Has Come, Bay Has Gravity" network themed wind gathering activity, which entered its third day. In the morning of that day, the wind harvesting team arrived at the Zhongshan Bridge of the Shenzhong Passage. The bridge deck was wide and flat, with the main tower towering and magnificent. The bridge deck paving was completed, and the guardrails on both sides were not yet installed.
It is reported that the total length of the Shenzhen Zhongshan Passage is about 24 kilometers, of which the bridge engineering is about 17 kilometers long, including the Lingdingyang Bridge, a super large span suspension bridge with a main span of 1666 meters, the Zhongshan Bridge, a cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 580 meters, a non navigable span approach bridge, and a land area approach bridge.
The main tower of Zhongshan Bridge is 213.5 meters high.
The construction of Zhongshan Bridge began in September 2018, and the bridge was closed in June 2022, making it the first key structure to achieve closure in the Shenzhen Zhongshan Corridor project. In March 2023, the steel deck paving of Zhongshan Bridge was completed, setting a world record for hot mix epoxy asphalt steel deck paving.
In fact, the construction of the Shenzhen China Channel has created multiple "world's best". The Lingdingyang Bridge is a fully floating three span suspension bridge with a main span of 1666 meters. The main tower is 270 meters high, equivalent to a 90 story building height, and the navigation clearance height is 76.5 meters. It is the world's largest offshore suspension bridge and the highest navigation clearance sea bridge.
Zhong Huihong, Deputy Director of the Shenzhong Channel Management Center, introduced that the designed service life of the structural engineering is 100 years. Considering the future development of the port and the increasing size of ships, if sufficient height is not reserved, it will affect the navigation of large ships in the future. Therefore, the net navigation height of the Lingdingyang Bridge has been increased to the current design height.
In addition, the steel shell concrete immersed tube tunnel with the characteristics of "ultra wide, deep buried, and widened" is also the world's first large-scale application, which is a new structure and technology for China. After completion, it will become the world's first ultra long bidirectional eight lane underwater immersed tube tunnel.
Zhongshan Cuiheng New Area welcomes new development
"The chasm turns into a path.". As the only direct highway connection between the "Shenzhen Dongguan Huizhou" and the "Pearl River Delta" urban agglomerations in the Pearl River Delta, the Shenzhen China Channel is a transportation link between the Guangdong Free Trade Pilot Zone and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Zhongshan Cuiheng New Area is a provincial-level new area approved by the Guangdong Provincial Government in 2012, and was established on March 25, 2013. It is located in the hinterland of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and is the landing point on the west bank of the Shenzhen China Corridor. It is situated at the center of two "concentric circles" in the three national level new areas of Nansha, Qianhai, and Hengqin, as well as the four major cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao. The area gathers major transportation infrastructure in the Bay Area, such as the Shenzhen China Corridor, Guangzhou Macao Expressway, Zhongkai Expressway, and Guangzhou Zhuhai Urban Rail Transit. Within a 100 kilometer radius, it can reach 5 international airports and 4 international ports in the Bay Area, and is situated within the "one hour living circle" of the Greater Bay Area.
In order to seize the new golden development opportunity, Cuiheng New Area is currently relying on the resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Assessment Center and other large institutes and platforms, strengthening the linkage and cooperation with Shenzhen, and elaborately layout several industrial parks with the bio pharmaceutical industry, precision equipment manufacturing, artificial intelligence and digital economy industry and high-end modern service industry as the leading industries.
