In the face of the superposition of tourism peak and summer high temperature, and the substantial growth of tourists, the Shanghai center actively organized volunteer service activities to protect the large passenger flow.
Due to the rapid growth of tourist flow, the Shanghai center has launched a volunteer service activity of "everyone is an order keeper, tourist guide and consultant". After the initiative was launched, more than 300 people actively volunteered and signed up with the active participation of party members, youth league members, and workers. The proposal also received the full support of the Youth League Committee of the Urban Investment Group. Youth members from sister units gathered together and rushed to the rescue, supporting 78 front-line volunteer services in Shanghai center. With timely help, thoughtful greetings and brilliant smiles, the volunteers demonstrated the high-quality service image of Shanghai center and the good spirit of landmark buildings and window units.
In order to ensure the high level of service standards and ensure the healthy and good working condition of volunteers, the Shanghai center has carefully arranged the "Six Ones" initiative of "one centralized induction training, one volunteer clothing, one service card, one dinner coupon, one bottle of salt and soda water, and one training photo", specially made a batch of small Q&A cards to summarize and sort out the questions asked frequently by tourists, and ensure that each batch of volunteers receive pre job training before putting into service to understand the service specifications and etiquette.
Despite the scorching sun, the volunteers had no complaints, overcame difficulties, took the initiative to learn, quickly adapted, and entered the state at the first time, striving to do their best. During the service process, volunteers and staff closely cooperate, ensuring that ticket inspection, consultation, flow guidance, safety reminders, and other positions are closely linked and meticulously implemented. In response to the problems and shortcomings discovered in the work, a daily review will be conducted after the completion of volunteer service, and improvement measures will be jointly studied with the staff of the Tourism Department. Through the meticulous work of volunteers, the operation of the building during peak passenger flow is stable, and the flow of tourists is orderly. The good service quality and sightseeing experience have been widely praised by tourists from all over the world. The tourism revenue has achieved a historic breakthrough, with an increase of over 45% compared to the same period in 2019.

After joining the large passenger flow reception guarantee work, volunteers not only played an important role in the front line of service, but also combined with the feedback and suggestions collected from tourists during the volunteer service process, and based on their own work experience, put forward many effective rationalization suggestions. Shanghai center has collected 76 suggestions on adding trash cans in the queue area, using anti-collision angle signs, increasing the number of power packs, and adding mother and baby rooms on the sightseeing floor. At present, 70 suggestions have been rectified.
