The second cargo ship departs from Odessa Port
According to Deutsche Presse-Agentur, the second cargo ship left the port of Odessa on the Black Sea coast of Ukraine on August 26.
According to reports, maritime transportation websites show that the cargo ship named "Primus" was flying the Liberian flag and left Odessa Port on the morning of the 26th. It is unclear what kind of cargo was loaded on the ship.
The report pointed out that this cargo ship arrived at Odessa Port in February this year, and was named "Polaris" at the time. It was later transferred and currently belongs to a shipping company headquartered in Singapore.
According to media reports, Ukraine announced on August 10th the establishment of a "humanitarian corridor" to allow cargo ships trapped in its ports to enter the Black Sea.
The German container ship "Joseph Schulte" left Odessa Port on the 16th, sailed along the western route of the Black Sea, avoiding international waters, and arrived in Istanbul, Türkiye on the 17th after passing through the waters controlled by Romania and Bulgaria, members of NATO.
The Russian Ministry of Defense previously announced that starting from July 20th, Russia will consider all ships heading towards Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea as potential military material transport ships, and the countries where such ships fly flags will be considered involved in the Ukrainian conflict.
On August 13th, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a warship from the Russian Navy fired a warning at a cargo ship flying the Palau flag in the southwestern waters of the Black Sea. The ship was sailing towards the port of Izmir in Ukraine.
