Since July, the daily average clearance volume of single license plate vehicles in Beishang Hong Kong and Macao has exceeded 4000, accounting for more than 50% of the total number of inbound and outbound passenger cars. At the same time, since the implementation of "Hong Kong Vehicles Going North" on July 1st until August 20th, nearly 19000 Hong Kong single license plate vehicles have entered and exited through the Daqiao Port, and the number of single license plate vehicles passing through Hong Kong will continue to increase in the future.

In order to ensure smooth customs clearance for single license plate vehicles entering Hong Kong and Macau, Gongbei Customs implements a "no customs guarantee" policy for eligible single license plate vehicles entering the country. At the same time, customs filing procedures are integrated into the overall application process of "Hong Kong vehicle northbound" and "Macau vehicle northbound", without the need for vehicle owners to submit materials or apply for documents at the customs service window, achieving paperless and online customs filing throughout the entire process. From receiving and reviewing filing data to completing customs filing, the entire process takes less than 5 minutes, providing maximum convenience for car owners.

According to customs statistics, from January 1st to August 20th, there were over 340500 inbound and outbound trucks passing through the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Port, an increase of over 40% year-on-year and over 532% year-on-year compared to the same period in 2019.

On August 21st, vehicles loaded with packages stopped at the Cross border E-commerce Station at Daqiao Port. The operators at the station loaded and unloaded them in an orderly manner. Customs officers used intelligent devices to inspect each package, and these packages were immediately transferred to Hong Kong Airport after customs supervision was completed. They took cargo flights to various parts of the world and delivered them to consumers.

Customs actively promotes the development of new business formats and promotes the formation of cross-border e-commerce trade radiation points starting from the Bridge Port. According to customs statistics, from January to July this year, the value of goods exported through the customs cross-border e-commerce management platform through the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Port reached 33.06 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 140.1%.

The Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge provides a richer variety of fresh agricultural products for Hong Kong and Macao

Starting from July 1st this year, all categories of fresh food from mainland China have been supplied to Hong Kong through the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge at designated times. Fresh aquatic products, frozen and frozen poultry, frozen meat, eggs, dairy products, and fruits and vegetables from mainland China have further enriched the dining table supply for Hong Kong citizens.

Recently, the customs clearance site at the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge has become busier during nighttime hours. On August 14th, a batch of freshly picked 4 tons of Gaozhou Chuliang longan arrived at the bridge. Under the supervision of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Customs under the jurisdiction of Gongbei Customs, it was successfully cleared and transported to Hong Kong that night. This is the first time that fruits have been exported to Hong Kong through the bridge. At present, Daqiao Port has become the main departure port for supplies for people's livelihood in the west bank of the the Pearl River.

In response to the strong timeliness of fresh food and the general use of nighttime customs clearance, the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Customs has taken a series of measures to improve regulatory efficiency.

According to customs statistics, from January to July this year, the export of agricultural products through the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge reached 4.37 billion yuan, an increase of 61.3% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the supply of aquatic products to Hong Kong reached 2.16 billion yuan, an increase of 34.7% compared to the same period last year.
