Beijing, July 12 (Xinhua) - The Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced on July 12 that in the first half of this year, the average number of days with good air quality in 339 prefecture level and above cities in China was 81.4%, a decrease of 3.2 percentage points year-on-year; The proportion of days with average severe pollution or above is 2.6%, an increase of 1.4 percentage points year-on-year.
Data shows that from January to June, the average concentration of PM2.5 in 339 prefecture level and above cities nationwide was 34 micrograms/cubic meter, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year; The average concentration of PM10 is 61 micrograms per cubic meter, an increase of 10.9% year-on-year.
From the perspective of key regions, the average proportion of excellent days in "2+26" cities in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei and surrounding areas from January to June was 57.5%, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5 percentage points; The average concentration of PM2.5 remained unchanged year-on-year; The average ozone concentration decreased by 4.8% year-on-year. Among them, the proportion of excellent days from January to June in Beijing was 69.6%, a year-on-year decrease of 8.3 percentage points; The concentration of PM2.5 increased by 19.4% year-on-year.
In the first half of the year, the average proportion of excellent days in 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta region was 80.5%, an increase of 1.4 percentage points year-on-year; The average concentration of PM2.5 remained unchanged year-on-year. The average proportion of excellent days in 11 cities in the Fenwei Plain was 58.6%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points year-on-year; The average concentration of PM2.5 increased by 4.1% year-on-year.
From the ranking of 168 key cities, 20 cities including Haikou, Lhasa, and Huizhou have relatively good air quality; The air quality in 20 cities including Mianyang, Changsha, and Xianyang is relatively poor.
