Abazovich said in his speech that the M2 highway connecting the coastal cities of Tivat and Budva is a representative of traffic congestion in Montenegro. After renovation and expansion, the traffic on this section will be significantly improved.
Fan Kun said that China has world-class experience and strength in infrastructure construction. Montenegro has a superior geographical position in the western Balkans and the potential to become a regional transportation hub. It can take advantage of the rare opportunity brought by the "the Belt and Road" initiative to vigorously promote infrastructure connectivity and achieve rapid economic and social development.
According to Shandong Expressway Group, the Heishan M2 highway renovation project has a total length of 16 kilometers, which will expand the existing two-way two lane road into a two-way four lane road, and add sidewalks and isolation belts. In addition, the project will also renovate the urban water supply system, increasing the flow of the water supply network to more than double its original value.
