The police once offered a reward of 100000 yuan, and Hou Moujun, a B-level fugitive from the Ministry of Public Security, was arrested in Changsha: he fled with a huge sum of money
The man fled with a huge sum of money for three years, wearing a mask and hat to cover up when going out, and using cash for shopping. Despite being so cautious, he still couldn't escape the law.
Recently, the Investigation and Operations Center of the Furong Branch of the Changsha Public Security Bureau conducted in-depth investigations and precise judgments, successfully capturing Hou Moujun, a B-level wanted criminal of the Ministry of Public Security.

Escaping with a huge sum of money, the police are offering a reward of 100000 yuan to arrest him
Hou Moujun, born in 1985, is from You County, Zhuzhou. In July 2020, he was pursued by the Jiangxi Provincial Police online for an economic case, with a total amount of funds involved of over 90 million yuan. The Ministry of Public Security listed him as a B-level wanted criminal.
In December 2022, the Jiangxi police issued a reward notice to Hou Moujun. The notice states that a reward of 20000 yuan will be given to units or individuals who provide valuable clues and assist the police in capturing them, and a reward of 100000 yuan will be given to units or individuals who directly capture suspects.
After Hou's army fled, there was no news. On August 14th this year, Zhao Jin, Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation at Furong Public Security Bureau, carefully discovered the activity trajectory of Hou Moujun, a suspected B-level wanted criminal of the Ministry of Public Security, near Hanpu in Yuelu District, while organizing the investigation and judgment work at the Investigation and Operations Center.
The Furong Public Security Sub bureau immediately dispatched elite police officers from the Criminal Investigation Brigade, Cybersecurity Brigade, Mawangdui Police Station, and other units to establish a special fugitive pursuit team, comprehensively sort out the situation, formulate a fugitive pursuit work plan, and strive for a prompt investigation.

Tracking for two consecutive days, the police arrested him in a rural cottage
"The surveillance footage captured a man wearing a mask and riding an electric bike. After system comparison, it was suspected to be Hou Moujun," Officer Feng from the Technical Squadron of the Criminal Investigation Brigade of Furong Public Security Bureau told reporters. On August 14th, police officers rushed to Hanpu in Yuelu District to investigate and found that the man caught in surveillance cameras wore a mask and hat every time he went out, and used cash every time he went shopping. A young man used cash every time he went shopping, which made the police more convinced that the man captured in the surveillance footage was Hou Moujun.
After in-depth analysis of the clues, the special pursuit team promptly determined the movements of the fugitive Hou Moujun, and based on the characteristics of the wanted criminal's actions, through on-site investigation, successfully identified his life trajectory in Hanpu, Yuelu.
On August 14th, police officers waited near Hanpu for a day and did not see the man on surveillance. On August 15th, the police continued to track and went door-to-door to inquire. In the afternoon of the same day, the man's whereabouts were finally found in the surveillance system installed in a resident's home. "We saw him turning into an alley during surveillance, and there was only one civilian house in that alley," said Officer Feng.
Subsequently, Officer Feng and several colleagues arrived at the private room, where only one man was eating grapes. Seeing the appearance of Officer Feng and others, they were momentarily stunned.
"Are you Hou Moujun?" The man remained silent when asked by Officer Feng. "Are you from You County, Zhuzhou?" As Officer Feng and others continued to ask, the man finally admitted that he was Hou Moujun.
The police searched the rented house and found tens of thousands of yuan in cash.
The huge sum of money has been squandered, and he claims that he originally intended to surrender himself when the money was used up

The hiding place of Hou Moujun is a small house in Hanpu Village, Yuelu District. This is a self built house by local villagers, with three floors. Hou Moujun rented it on the first floor. "The conditions in the place he rented are quite rudimentary, with no air conditioning or TV, only an electric fan," Officer Feng told reporters.
It is reported that during Hou's escape with a large amount of cash, in order to evade arrest by the public security organs, he constantly fled throughout the country and cut off all external communication. About half a year ago, he came to Changsha and lived under a false identity. He usually chose to rent a self built house in the urban-rural junction or rented out in rural areas. He wore a mask and hat to cover up when going out, deliberately avoiding video surveillance areas. He cooked his own meals three times a day and used cash every time he bought groceries or went shopping. "He has a phone, but there is no card. He relies on someone else's Wi Fi to access the internet, and he confesses that he has never contacted relatives and friends..."
The police only found a few tens of thousands of yuan in cash in the room rented by Hou Moujun. In just three years, where did the huge sum of money that they carried when they fled go? Hou Moujun confessed that over the years, he hid in several cities and liked gambling, so his money was spent. Hou Moujun also said that he had originally planned to surrender himself when the tens of thousands of yuan were used up.
At present, the Furong police have contacted the Jiangxi police and will continue to follow up on follow-up work.
