She stated that the resort management and Maldives police did not act, not only keeping the matter confidential, but also not taking any mandatory measures to investigate her case so far. She also provided evidence pictures as evidence, including photos of her being injured after sexual assault, photos of Usham, and copies of the complaint submitted to the Maldives police.

She wrote on Twitter that she arrived in Maldives on June 6th and was originally scheduled to return to China on the 10th. However, she decided to extend her stay and moved in to Maldives. At the Ritz Carlton Farry Island Resort, she was completely unaware of the nightmares that could befall her.

According to the girl's recollection, shortly after checking into the hotel, Usham, as the resort manager, assisted her in settling in and briefly introduced her to the hotel's facilities after checking into her room. On that day, she accidentally spilled water on her phone, causing it to be damaged. She said that the reason she sought help from the front desk was because she was very worried and didn't know how to contact her family. They sent Usham to help her.

Then Usham sat on her bed and started talking to her. At first, these conversations were very ordinary. He asked questions such as "Why are you here alone, where do you live, etc.". The victim girl said that Usham then began asking her some personal questions, such as what she did last night and whether she slept by the outdoor swimming pool.

"At that time, I realized he was looking at me. Later, he left the room for a while and came back because my mother sent a WeChat message." She wrote, "When we were chatting again, Usham had a piece of chewing gum in his mouth and asked if she wanted to kiss him.". The girl felt uncomfortable and told him that she didn't like physical contact.

"He chatted with me again, asking questions. Then he picked up his chewing gum and started chewing, asking if I wanted to kiss, which made me numb. My brain went blank. I said no, I don't like physical contact. I took my computer to translate for him to understand, just in case he didn't understand." The victim said in her subsequent tweet, and Usham then used the excuse of "you don't have to feel ashamed, sex is okay" to coerce her into having sex with her. But when she was dissatisfied or refused, he forcefully stuck his tongue into her mouth.

Subsequently, disregarding the girl's strong resistance, Usham pushed her onto the bed, started beating her, and ultimately sexually assaulted her. Usham ejaculated on her computer screen, then wiped the screen with a towel in the bathroom and said he would come back.
