The police have filed an investigation and found that nearly a hundred companies have been registered under the names of several villagers in a village in Ya'an, Sichuan! Village Committee Response
In daily life, many people hope to become "bosses", but some are inexplicably "taken" as company bosses... From the end of 2022 to the beginning of this year, several villagers in a village in Ya'an City, Sichuan Province have discovered that multiple companies suddenly appeared under their names, totaling nearly a hundred companies, but they are all unaware of this.
According to interviews with Red Star News reporters, among these villagers who have been impersonated, there are illiterate old farmers, college students, and even mentally ill and extremely impoverished households.
What worries many villagers even more is that some companies registered under their own names have already experienced abnormal business operations. What should be done if these companies have debt disputes in the future? Perhaps, without knowing it, one will become a "deadbeat".
On August 21st, a Red Star News reporter learned from the local village committee that the villagers suspected of using their identities to register companies in other places all come from the same village group, with a total of more than 20 people. The relevant person in charge of the village committee denied questioning whether village cadres had leaked village information, stating that it should not be possible. They also hope that the public security department will investigate and clarify as soon as possible. After the incident, the village immediately reported to the town government and collected information on the relevant villagers, which was then submitted to the police station.
In response, the Mingshan District Branch of Ya'an Public Security Bureau told Red Star News reporters that the matter has been investigated.
Villagers tell:
Inexplicably becoming the "boss", multiple companies suddenly emerged under his name
Zhiguan Village is located at the foot of Mengding Mountain in Mingshan District, Ya'an City, and Ms. Cheng, a villager, has been living in the village. Last year, the village provided Ms. Cheng with a public welfare position. In order to receive the corresponding labor costs, Ms. Cheng needs to go to the tax department in her personal name to issue an invoice.

Ms. Cheng told the Red Star News reporter that when she was preparing to issue an invoice with her ID card, "After checking, the staff said that I have registered several companies under my name and can directly come to collect a certain amount of invoices every month."
"I was confused at the time! Is it the same name and surname that got mixed up?" Subsequently, Ms. Cheng checked and confirmed multiple times that there were indeed seven or eight companies under her name, most of which were registered in September 2021. The registered addresses of the companies were all in another city in another city, involving various types such as e-commerce, software development, clothing business, network technology, and commercial companies.

Ms. Cheng told Red Star News reporters that she had never opened these companies before, but inexplicably became the legal representative, investor, major shareholder, manager, supervisor, etc. of these companies.

When checking the registration information of some of the companies mentioned above, Ms. Cheng found that she did indeed have a copy of her ID card, a facial verification avatar, etc. However, the ID card is from the past, and the avatar is also the same as when she had long hair many years ago. However, she can be certain that the signature was not signed by herself, and she does not know who the agent is.
What worries Ms. Cheng is that some of the companies have already experienced abnormal business operations. What should be done if the company encounters debt disputes in the future? Perhaps I will become a "deadbeat" without knowing it.
The village committee responded:
More than 20 villagers in the same village group deny that village cadres have leaked information
In fact, Ms. Cheng's situation is not an exception. Later, she used her parents' identity information to search and found that there were also six or seven companies under their names. Ms. Cheng smiled bitterly and said to the Red Star News reporter, "It's like our family has opened over a dozen companies."
At the beginning of this year, a college student in the village also received a phone call from the school at home, saying that multiple companies had been found under his name, and he was going to intern next year. He was asked to quickly handle it. After the news spread, more villagers began to inquire about their own situation.
It doesn't matter if it's not checked, it's startled when checked. "Other villagers in the village have also discovered many 'emerging' companies under their names, involving more than 20 villagers, and the total number of companies is estimated to be nearly a hundred." Huang Zhiqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhiguan Village, told Red Star News reporters, including illiterate old farmers, college students, and even mentally ill and extremely poor households.
It is worth mentioning that these more than 20 villagers are all from Group 5 of Zhiguan Village, mostly in their twenties to forties. Similar situations have not been found in other village groups yet. Some people suspect that village cadres have leaked the personal identity information of villagers?
Huang Zhiqing denied this and said, "It should not be possible. We hope the public security department can investigate and clarify as soon as possible." Zhou Yujuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhiguan Village, also said, "Several companies have been registered under the names of the five group leaders."

Zhou Yujuan told Red Star News reporters that the village had reported to the town government as soon as possible after the incident, and collected and statistically analyzed information about the villagers, which was then handed over to the police station. However, the situation behind it had to wait for the police to investigate.
Police intervention:
This matter has been investigated and filed. The police in many places have reminded citizens to conduct self-examination
In order to revoke these companies under her name as soon as possible, Ms. Cheng has repeatedly reported to the registration authority of the aforementioned companies, requesting the revocation of company registration. Tianyancha shows that some of the above-mentioned companies have been dissolved, while others are still in a state of existence.
On August 21st, a Red Star News reporter visited the Mengyang Police Station of the Mingshan District Branch of the Ya'an Public Security Bureau, which is in charge of Zhiguan Village, to learn about the relevant situation. The police stated that they need to contact the Mingshan District Branch. Regarding this, relevant personnel from the Mingshan District Branch stated that the matter has been investigated and is currently not convenient for an interview.
Red Star News reporters have found through public reports that there have been cases of companies being registered with identity information being impersonated in many parts of the country. Police in many places have also issued reminders, "Hurry up and self check, your identity information is likely to be being impersonated."
How to check if a company has been falsely registered? It is understood that by searching for the "Electronic Business License" mini program on WeChat, clicking on "Other Applications" in the lower right corner, personal information can be found in the "Investment and Employment Status Inquiry" section.
Industry insiders remind that if one discovers that their ID card has been falsely used to register a company, the parties involved can protect their legitimate rights and interests through three channels: first, reporting to the public security organs; The second is to apply to the market supervision department to revoke the company's business registration; In addition, administrative litigation can also be filed.
