On August 21st, a Red Star News reporter learned from the local village committee that the villagers suspected of using their identities to register companies in other places all come from the same village group, with a total of more than 20 people. The relevant person in charge of the village committee denied questioning whether village cadres had leaked village information, stating that it should not be possible. They also hope that the public security department will investigate and clarify as soon as possible. After the incident, the village immediately reported to the town government and collected information on the relevant villagers, which was then submitted to the police station.

"I was confused at the time! Is it the same name and surname that got mixed up?" Subsequently, Ms. Cheng checked and confirmed multiple times that there were indeed seven or eight companies under her name, most of which were registered in September 2021. The registered addresses of the companies were all in another city in another city, involving various types such as e-commerce, software development, clothing business, network technology, and commercial companies.

Ms. Cheng told Red Star News reporters that she had never opened these companies before, but inexplicably became the legal representative, investor, major shareholder, manager, supervisor, etc. of these companies.

At the beginning of this year, a college student in the village also received a phone call from the school at home, saying that multiple companies had been found under his name, and he was going to intern next year. He was asked to quickly handle it. After the news spread, more villagers began to inquire about their own situation.

It doesn't matter if it's not checked, it's startled when checked. "Other villagers in the village have also discovered many 'emerging' companies under their names, involving more than 20 villagers, and the total number of companies is estimated to be nearly a hundred." Huang Zhiqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhiguan Village, told Red Star News reporters, including illiterate old farmers, college students, and even mentally ill and extremely poor households.

It is worth mentioning that these more than 20 villagers are all from Group 5 of Zhiguan Village, mostly in their twenties to forties.
