Yurui blooms at night and withers during the day. The flowers come in three colors: white, pink, and red. The fluffy tassel shaped stamens are highly ornamental, with a light and elegant fragrance. "The older generation said that the fragrance of Yurui flowers drifted seven miles, and the village name came from it," said He Yaozhu, the secretary of the Qili Village Party Branch.

There are over 400 acres of Yurui Forest in Qili Village, with a total of over 10000 plants. Liao Baowen, a researcher at the Tropical Forestry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry, said that the Yurui Forest in Qili Village has a large area that is rare in the country, and most of the trees are over 800 years old. It is an irreplaceable freshwater wetland forest "living specimen" on Hainan Island.
Under the night, landscape light strips illuminate the village. A clear small river surrounds the village, and Yurui Forest takes root in the riverbed and by the riverbank. Walking along the waterfront boardwalk and stone bridge in the forest, the flowing water is murmuring under your feet, cicadas and frogs chirping in your ears, and the cool breeze is refreshing. Lanterns embroidered with poetry and wooden plaques inscribed with poetry can be seen everywhere, and upon careful reading, it is full of phrases by Tang and Song literati praising Yurui.

In recent years, Qili Village has relied on Yurui Flower to build a beautiful countryside, turning Yurui ancient tree clusters into characteristic tourism products, actively exploring the path of rural tourism combining agriculture and tourism, improving the appearance of the village, and driving the whole village to enjoy a "tourism meal".
With more and more tourists, Qili Village is actively developing products around Yurui. He Yaozhu took out coasters, keychains, car accessories, and other products that were molded or waxed with fresh jade stamen flowers and said, "Recently, when the village held a cultural festival, these cultural and creative products were sold out, leaving only these few samples."
Some villagers have upgraded their operated small shops to convenience stores, with larger storefronts and more comprehensive products, attracting a large number of tourists; Villagers have built 4-story homestays, and during the trial operation period, more than 20 guest rooms are fully booked; A group of young people who are developing outside have returned to the village one after another, seeking employment and entrepreneurship; Green agricultural products such as taro stems, peanuts, and sweet potatoes are easy to sell and can be sold out at the village entrance
Nowadays, Yurui is not only the golden signboard of Qili Village, but also the new urban business card of Danzhou, continuously releasing new energy in the "flower appreciation economy". In June of this year, Danzhou City held the first Dongpo Yurui Culture Festival in Qili Village, using the popularity of Yurui to promote local industry investment. During this period, 8 companies signed intention to invest agreements on site, involving sectors such as specialty agriculture, leisure fishing, and tourism. They signed 34 projects with a total intention to invest 10.582 billion yuan.
