On the 21st, the official WeChat account of the Ministry of National Security announced the cracking of a CIA led espionage case.
This is the second time in just over a decade that the official WeChat account of the Department of National Security has named the CIA.
case
According to the Ministry of National Security, the suspect Hao, born in January 1984, is a cadre of a national ministry. During Hao's study abroad in Japan, he met Ted, an official of the US Embassy in Japan, due to visa application matters. Ted gradually established a close relationship with Hao through entertaining guests, giving gifts, and other means. He asked Hao to help write the paper and promised to pay the "manuscript fee". Hao agreed to Ted's request. Before the end of his term at the US Embassy in Japan, Ted introduced his colleague Li Jun to Hao, and the two sides continued to maintain a cooperative relationship.
Before the end of Hao's study abroad period, Li Junliang identified himself as a member of the Central Intelligence Agency's Tokyo station and instigated a rebellion against Hao, requiring him to return to China and work in our core unit. Hao agreed and signed an espionage agreement with the US, accepting assessment and training from the US.
After returning to China, Hao managed to work in a certain national department according to the requirements of the CIA. He had multiple secret contacts with CIA personnel within the country, provided intelligence, and collected espionage funds. After the national security organs discovered Hao's espionage activities, they conducted a review of him in accordance with the law. The case is currently under investigation.
On August 11th, the Ministry of National Security also announced a spy case involving the United States. The suspect Zeng XX, born in July 1971, is a staff member of a military industrial group of our country and an important secret related person.
At that time, it was revealed that during the period when Zeng was sent by his unit to study in Italy for further education, US embassy official Seth took the initiative to get to know Zeng, and gradually became close through activities such as dinners, outings, and watching operas. Zeng gradually developed a psychological dependence on Seth, and Seth took this opportunity to instill Western values in Zeng. Under Seth's boasting and persuasion, Zeng's political stance was shaken.
Later, Seth revealed his identity as a member of the Central Intelligence Agency's Rome station to Zeng, promising to pay a huge amount of compensation and handling immigration procedures for Zeng's entire family to the United States, requesting Zeng to provide me with sensitive military information. Zeng agreed and signed an espionage agreement with the United States, accepting assessment and training from the US side. After completing his studies abroad, Zeng returned to China and continued to secretly communicate with CIA personnel multiple times, providing a large amount of my core intelligence and collecting espionage funds.
Double roll call CIA
Both of the spy cases reported by the National Security Bureau were directly named by the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States.
The CIA is one of the main intelligence agencies of the United States federal government, headquartered in Langley, Virginia, with four departments: Intelligence, Secret Operations, Technology, and Support. Its main business scope involves: collecting intelligence information from foreign governments, companies, and citizens; Comprehensively analyze and process intelligence information collected by other US intelligence agencies; Provide national security intelligence and security risk assessment opinions to senior decision-makers in the United States; According to the requirements of the President of the United States, organize, implement, and guide the supervision of cross-border secret activities.
For a long time, the CIA has been secretly implementing "peaceful evolution" and "color revolution" around the world, continuously carrying out espionage and espionage activities.
From the impact on the international socialist camp in the 1980s, the dramatic changes in the Soviet East in the early 1990s to the "Rose Revolution" in Georgia in 2003, from the "Orange Revolution" in Ukraine in 2004 to the "Tulip Revolution" in Kyrgyzstan in 2005, from the "Arab Spring" in West Asia and North Africa in 2011 to the "Second Color Revolution" in Ukraine in 2014, all have been recognized by international institutions and scholars around the world as typical cases of the "Color Revolution" led by the United States.
According to statistics, for decades, the CIA has overthrown or attempted to overthrow at least 50 legitimate governments of other countries, causing unrest in relevant countries.
In May of this year, the National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center and 360 Company jointly released an investigation report, revealing the relevant situation of CIA's use of network attacks on other countries, revealing the specific process of some typical cybersecurity incidents that occurred in China and other countries, comprehensively and deeply analyzing CIA's network attack theft and related real harm activities, as well as its contribution to the United States becoming a "hacker empire".
In July this year, CIA Director Burns attended the Aspen Security Forum in response to inquiries, stating that progress has been made in rebuilding the US intelligence network in China and efforts are being made to build strong human intelligence collection capabilities to supplement other intelligence acquisition channels.
Regarding this, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that we have taken note of the relevant reports and expressed concern about it. The US side repeatedly spreads false information about so-called Chinese spies and cyber attacks, while openly claiming to carry out large-scale intelligence activities against China. This itself indicates the problem. China will take all necessary measures to resolutely safeguard national security.
counterattack
On July 1st of this year, the newly revised Anti Espionage Law came into effect. This is the first specialized legislation in the field of national security after the 20th National Congress.
The law stipulates that the state shall establish a coordination mechanism for anti espionage work; National security agencies are the competent authorities for anti espionage work. In addition, the Anti Espionage Law also stipulates that any citizen or organization who discovers espionage behavior shall promptly report it to the national security organs. At the same time, it is required that national security agencies should publicly disclose the phone number, mailbox, online platform, etc. where reports are received, handle the reported information in a timely manner in accordance with the law, and keep the whistleblower confidential.
In August of this year, the General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Establishing a List of Party Regulations and National Laws that Leading Cadres should Know and Know", and the "Anti Espionage Law" was included as a key focus of study. The Opinion explicitly mentions the need to "enhance the ability of leading cadres to use legal weapons to prevent and resolve major risks, and enhance their ability to struggle in accordance with the law.".
Mo Jihong, Director of the Institute of Law at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, wrote that spies are a special group of illegal criminals with high concealment, professionalism, and harm. Anti espionage work is different from general law enforcement activities, with high professionalism, confrontation, and danger. The cruel struggle and fierce game between national security agencies and spy organizations are always present and everywhere.
Mo Jihong stated that on the basis of effectively playing the role of specialized agencies in anti espionage work, it is necessary to establish a network and system of anti espionage work that is widely supported by social organizations and individual citizens, and maximize the initiative and enthusiasm of the people in anti espionage work. Only in this way can we achieve "knowing oneself and the enemy, and not being defeated in a hundred battles".
