The National Disaster Reduction Commission and the Disaster Relief Working Group of the Ministry of Emergency Management are guiding the management of disaster relief work in Hebei Province
The reporter learned from the Ministry of Emergency Management today that in response to severe flooding in some areas of Hebei Province, the National Disaster Reduction Commission and the Ministry of Emergency Management raised the national disaster response level to Level III at 10:00 on August 2, and dispatched disaster relief teams to Hebei to inspect the disaster situation on site, guide and assist in disaster relief, medical security, insurance claims and other work, support the resettlement and rescue work, and ensure that disaster affected people are properly resettled. Staff members and medical experts from the National Health Commission and the People's Insurance Group participated in the working group.
From August 3 to 4, the working group went to the victims' resettlement sites such as Zhuozhou Vocational Education Center, Zhuozhou No.3 Middle School, the First Center School of High speed Railway New City, Hongguang Primary School in Shengfang Town, Bazhou City, to inspect and guide the resettlement work on the spot, check the dormitories, canteens, medical centers, security stations and other places, learn in detail about the work of personnel registration, relief materials distribution, on-site volunteer management, remind the resettled people to pay attention to their physical and mental health, especially strengthen the health screening, monitoring and medical aid for the elderly, basic disease patients and other groups, and do a good job in health epidemic prevention, infectious disease prevention, environmental disinfection and sterilization and personal health education reminding. For the public whose property has been damaged, the working group allocates professional claims personnel to provide indiscriminate reception for residents' insurance reporting and rescue needs.
It is understood that since August 2nd, the National Disaster Reduction Commission and the Ministry of Emergency Management have urgently allocated 15000 sets of household emergency kits and 15000 pieces of central disaster relief materials such as folding beds, cotton blankets, and summer blankets to the disaster stricken areas of Hebei Province, to support the resettlement and rescue work of the affected people. At present, relevant central disaster relief materials are being distributed in an orderly manner to the affected people.
