On June 29th, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning presided over a regular press conference. A reporter asked, and US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Patel stated on the 28th that the visit of the US Congressional delegation to Taiwan does not mean a change in US policy towards Taiwan. This matter is not related to government administrative departments, and the US has no intention of seeking an escalation of the situation or a change in the status quo. Mao Ning said that there is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is an integral part of China.
