The Ministry of Commerce responded that the United States has included two Chinese enterprises in the so-called "Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Law Entity List" entity | China | Prevention
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce answered questions from reporters regarding the inclusion of two Chinese companies in the so-called "Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Law Entity List" by the United States
A reporter asked: The US Department of Homeland Security recently announced the addition of two Chinese entities to the "Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List" on the grounds of human rights. What is China's comment on this?
Answer: We have noticed that the US recently announced the inclusion of two Chinese companies and some of their subsidiaries in the so-called "Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Law Entity List", which lacks factual basis and transparency. It is a unilateral bullying behavior under the pretext of "human rights" and is a typical economic coercion behavior. China firmly opposes this.
There is no such thing as "forced labor" or "persecution of ethnic minorities" in Xinjiang. The US should immediately stop political manipulation and smear attacks, stop unjustly suppressing Chinese enterprises, and stop undermining the prosperity and stability of Xinjiang. China will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests.
