CCTV News: The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing announced the China E-commerce Logistics Index for July on August 7th. Benefiting from the steady rise of various indicators on the supply side, China's e-commerce logistics index has improved compared to last month and continues to maintain a continuous upward trend. Experts say that with the gradual implementation of various consumer promotion policies, the e-commerce logistics index will continue to maintain a growth trend in August.
In July, the China E-commerce Logistics Index was 110.9 points, a slight increase of 0.3 points from the previous month. The various indicators on the supply side have performed well, among which the logistics efficiency index, satisfaction rate index, fulfillment rate index, and personnel index have continuously rebounded.
Specifically, in July, the logistics efficiency index reached a new high in nearly two years and continued to rise for seven consecutive months. The satisfaction index has significantly increased by 1.5 points compared to the previous month, ending the trend of operating below 100 points since 2020.
The fulfillment rate index increased by 0.5 points month on month, achieving a continuous increase for 7 months, and the supply capacity of e-commerce logistics enterprises continues to strengthen.
The personnel index has increased by 1.4 points compared to the previous month, breaking through the high level of 110 points for the first time since January 2019.
In July, with the withdrawal of previous e-commerce shopping promotion activities, the total e-commerce logistics business volume index and rural e-commerce business volume index reflecting demand slightly declined, but the demand potential remained large and the growth momentum was strong, maintaining high-speed growth of over 20% and 25%, respectively.
According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of the year, the online retail sales of physical goods in China reached 6.1 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%, accounting for 26.6% of the total retail sales of consumer goods in society. The steady increase in demand for e-commerce logistics has not changed. From a later perspective, experts indicate that with the gradual implementation of various consumer promotion policies, the e-commerce logistics index will continue to maintain a growth trend in August.
