After being rescued, one will face punishment
Case One
At around 7am on July 29th, the Public Security Bureau of Yingde City received a report from a woman stating that five hikers, including her husband, had lost contact while hiking in the Sunset Grand Canyon in the Shimentai Nature Reserve at 9am on the 28th. They called the police for help.
After receiving the report, the Yingde City Public Security Bureau immediately organized police forces to carry out search and rescue. The police conducted a visit and investigation, and learned that the five missing hikers were preparing to hike to the "bottom top" of the boat for camping.

Due to the large area and complex terrain of the protected area, as well as the interruption of mobile phone network signals for stranded hikers, it is impossible to contact and determine their location. In addition, the mountain road is rugged, with heavy rain pouring down, making rescue efforts extremely difficult.
Time is life, and the Yingde Public Security Bureau quickly established an on-site command center, combining emergency, health, fire protection, forestry, Shimentai Nature Reserve, local town government, village committee, and various rescue forces to form a forward search and rescue team, and carried out rescue operations in the mountains.
After an overnight search and rescue, at around 10am on July 30th, 5 hikers were discovered by search and rescue personnel and ultimately all were successfully rescued.
After investigation, five hikers drove from Foshan to the Sunset Grand Canyon in Shimentai Nature Reserve, Yingde City on July 26th. Before departure, they informed their families that there was no signal in the mountains and arranged to contact them again after three days of return.
Due to the changeable climate and complex terrain in the Reserve, five hikers were trapped by sudden rainstorm during their hiking, so they did not return in time and their families could not contact them, so they called the police for help.
Case 2
At around 11:00 am on July 30th, the Public Security Bureau of Yingde City received a report from a group of people stating that their 8 companions were hiking in the Shimentai Nature Reserve but could not slide down the mountain and urgently needed assistance.
After receiving the report, the personnel who had just finished the previous rescue had not had time to rest, so they rushed to the location of the incident without stopping to carry out the second rescue operation.

Due to the rugged mountain road and slippery terrain at the site of the incident, rescue vehicles were unable to continue moving when they reached a distance of about 5 kilometers from the incident site.
Rescue personnel immediately carried multifunctional rescue equipment and hiked the mountain for nearly two hours before arriving at the trapped area. After joint rescue efforts by multiple departments, all 8 trapped people have been safely escorted down the mountain.
It is understood that 8 donkeys drove from Guangzhou to Shimentai Nature Reserve in Yingde City on the evening of July 29 to climb the mountain on foot. Due to the complex terrain and rugged road conditions in the nature reserve, and the recent thunderstorm weather, the donkeys could not go down the mountain due to slippery roads and physical exhaustion, so they called the police for help.
