According to the Chinese Embassy in Kiribati, on the morning of the 11th, a fishing boat belonging to a fishing company in Shanghai was operating in the waters east of Tarawa in Kiribati when a Chinese fisherman named Shang was accidentally injured, resulting in an open fracture of the right calf and severe damage to surrounding tissues. He has been co infected. Due to the limited medical conditions of the fishing boat, only simple fixation and treatment can be carried out on the injured, and their injuries continue to worsen.

After connecting the call, the task command center quickly studied the plan and made up its mind to adopt a forward and high-speed approach to the designated sea area to meet the fishing boat. The maritime hospital immediately organized medical experts to assess the condition, provided remote guidance on the treatment of the injured using satellite phones, and the relevant consultation rooms simultaneously carried out preoperative preparations. After arriving at the designated sea area, the hospital ship will transport the injured to this ship for surgery depending on the sea conditions.
