The first batch of temporary resettlement houses for the accelerated recovery of production and life after the Heilongjiang disaster have been basically completed
CCTV News: As the floods gradually recede, the disaster stricken areas in Heilongjiang Province are accelerating work such as housing resettlement, farmland drainage, and communication restoration.
Due to the impact of previous floods, 27 forest farms of Tokyo City Forestry Bureau located in Mudanjiang were affected. When the flood receded, the local people made every effort to organize personnel to clean up the sludge, scour the sediment and carry out comprehensive disinfection and sterilization.
In order to properly resettle forest workers and residents who have lost their housing, the Tokyo Forestry Bureau has coordinated the construction of temporary resettlement housing. The first batch of temporary resettlement housing has been basically completed.
In Shuangcheng District of Harbin City, floods caused nearly 800000 acres of land along the Lalin River to accumulate water in 11 townships. Local emergency rescue teams were organized to go deep into each affected township and continue to carry out drainage work.
Flood disasters have caused severe damage to communication infrastructure in some areas of Harbin and Mudanjiang, with a total of 5118 communication base stations unable to function properly. The Communication Management Bureau of Heilongjiang Province has allocated materials to support relevant departments in emergency repairs. As of now, 4912 base stations have resumed normal operation.
