According to previous reports from Chao News, on July 10th, a netizen posted on social media claiming that He Shixiong, the director of the petition bureau in Longxi County, Dingxi City, originally named Lei Kepeng, was suspected of impersonating someone else to attend university. The topic of "impersonation of public officials" has attracted widespread attention from netizens.
Report content. On the afternoon of the 11th, He Shixiong, the director of the Longxi County Petition Bureau, told reporters that the content of the article was untrue and that the author had been reported to social media. "The staff of the public security organs and the Cyberspace Administration have retrieved my resume and files, and I have clarified myself."
At the same time, the reporter contacted the informant He Yuanyuan. "My original name was He Shixiong. I was born in February 1961 in Shipu Village, Caizi Town, Longxi County. I attended Longxi No.1 Middle School in high school. Before applying for my first generation ID card, my name was He Shixiong. For some reason, when I received my ID card, the name on it changed to He Yuanyuan." He Yuanyuan said that Yuan Yuan was his nickname, and he has been using "He Yuanyuan" ever since.
He Yuanyuan recalled to reporters that he took the college entrance examination in 1979 and was told that he had been admitted to a university, but he never received the admission notice. "After my name changed to He Yuanyuan on my ID card, I have been suspecting whether someone impersonated me and went to college."

In recent years, He Yuanyuan learned that the director of the county petition bureau, He Shixiong, had the same name as his original name, thus raising doubts about his identity information. "Through visits and research, I found out that He Shixiong's original name was Lei Kepeng. Among his classmates at Longxi No.1 Middle School, there was a person named Lei Kepeng. He was a student in Class 5, and I was a student in Class 1." He Yuanyuan told reporters that he had reported to multiple departments, but did not disclose the detailed investigation process, only one result.
Mr. He provided a document to the reporter, which showed that in April this year, He Yuanyuan submitted a report to the Gansu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision and the Dingxi Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision. On May 25th, the Dingxi Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision replied that the situation reflected was inconsistent with the facts. He Yuanyuan disagrees with this result. He firmly believes that someone has replaced his identity information and is willing to bear all legal consequences for what he said.
Subsequently, the reporter called He Shixiong, the director of the Longxi County Petition Bureau, to inquire about the situation. He said that there were many contents in He Yuanyuan's report that could not be justified, "I was born in 1978, how could I possibly go to college in 1979. And his report letter said he knew that I had retired last year, but in reality, I am still working at the petition bureau and there are still more than a decade left until retirement."
Subsequently, the reporter learned from a government official in Longxi County that this matter should be a rumor.
"Director He Shixiong attended a vocational school in 1994 and graduated in 1998. After graduation, he went to work in a township government office in Longxi County. This does not match the false identity mentioned in the report that he went to university." The person said that Director He's appearance is considered young among his peers, and his child should be attending junior high school or high school this year.
In addition, the source revealed that the reported information stated that the replacement was from Leijiazui, Yuntian Town, Longxi County, but Director He was from another township. "Director He has gone through three units since graduation: the township government, the county disciplinary commission, and the petition bureau, and has not worked in the political and legal system as He Yuanyuan mentioned."
