The "Party Building+Hundred Villages Little Sun" Project in Zhungeer Banner, Inner Mongolia:
Developing collective economy to promote strong villages and prosperous people
Guangming Daily News: In the summer in Zhungeer Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, there is abundant sunshine. On the roof of the Party and Mass Service Center in Manhanhao Village, Twelve Liancheng Township, workers are installing solar panels. Villager Wang Wenxiu looked at the photovoltaic roof under construction and said, "We can now use 'green electricity' on empty roofs and car sheds to increase the collective income of the village."
At the junction box of the photovoltaic project site in Dafanpu Village, Xuejiawan Town, Su Peirong, a veteran party member in his 60s, listened to the sound coming from the box and felt happy in his heart. Following the concept of "green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as gold and silver", Zhungeer Banner has implemented the "Party Building+Hundred Villages with Small Suns" project to promote the development and construction of distributed photovoltaic systems on the roofs of village party and mass service centers, develop and strengthen village collective economy, assist rural revitalization, guide rural green consumption, and promote resource intensive utilization. Zhungeer Banner has specially established a leading group for the implementation of the "Party Building+Hundred Villages with Small Suns" project, clarifying the division of responsibilities, decomposing and implementing tasks. Starting from September 2022, we will collaborate to promote the construction of engineering projects. There are 111 villages in the entire Banner that have installation conditions, with a total installed capacity of about 21000 kilowatts and an average annual income of about 11 million yuan.
Li Yaojun, member of the Standing Committee of the Zhungeer Banner Committee and Minister of the Organization Department, said, "The implementation of the 'Party Building+Hundred Villages with Small Suns' project has effectively increased the collective economic income of the village. More importantly, it has further enhanced the organizational, cohesive, and appeal power of grassroots party organizations in rural areas, which can better lead the masses to common prosperity."
