The deceased's sister spoke up, the millionaire hanged himself in a mental hospital
Millionaire Luo Mouzhong from Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, was sent to a mental hospital after a dispute with his son, which has recently sparked heated discussions. On August 23rd, Luo committed suicide by hanging himself in the restroom of a mental hospital, and the police have ruled out homicide. Luo Wenren, the younger sister of Luo Mouzhong, told Jimu News reporters that she has applied to the police to identify the cause of her brother's death and stated that she will hold her nephew criminally responsible.

According to Red Star News, when Luo was young, his family was poor. Later, due to urban construction, Luo's family received several compensation payments for land acquisition and demolition. Luo used these funds as start-up funds. He first worked with his brother-in-law to pull sand, then opened a China Pakistan rural route, and then opened an imported car repair shop, gradually accumulating tens of millions of assets. He has storefronts in different areas of Zhangjiajie city.
Last October, Luo Mouzhong was diagnosed with "glioma" due to a headache for more than ten years. On October 22 of the same year, Xiangya Hospital of Central South University performed a left frontal lobe mass resection under general anesthesia for him.

On May 25, 2023, Luo Mouzhong convened a family meeting with his son, daughter-in-law, and daughter in law to discuss loan repayment, family inheritance, and his own elderly care issues. The meeting ultimately ended in an unhappy ending. On May 26th, after Luo Zhongzhong smashed his son Luo's house, Luo reported to the police. Later, Luo Zhongzhong was sent to Zhangjiajie Mental Hospital by his son. On June 2nd, Luo Mouzhong was sent to the 7th floor of the Jingwei Building of the Second People's Hospital of Hunan Province for treatment in the Department of Physical and Mental Disorders.
During this period, Luo's three sisters complained to the police and health departments in Zhangjiajie and Changsha for many times in order to "rescue" Luo. They submitted a lawyer's letter to the Second People's Hospital of Hunan Province, stating that Luo's actions were "exploiting loopholes in the medical treatment system", resulting in Luo Zhongzhong being "illegally detained".
On July 19th, Luo Mouzhong handwritten an appeal letter to the outside world, which stated, "I solemnly declare that I am not mentally ill." He also wrote that the Second People's Hospital of Hunan Province was biased and completely disregarded the fact that his mental state was normal, controlled his freedom, and forcibly used medication for him, causing great physical and mental damage. He was "very angry" about this. Luo Mouzhong requested the relevant departments to promptly stop the "illegal admission behavior" of the Second People's Hospital of Hunan Province. If necessary, he requested the higher-level relevant departments to "identify my so-called illness".

On August 14th, Zhang Li, the niece of Luo Mouzhong, called the Department of Physical Diseases and Psychiatry at the Second People's Hospital of Hunan Province, and the other party said that Luo Mouzhong had been taken away and discharged.
According to poster news reports, on August 25th, the reporter learned from the Hanpu Police Station in Yuelu District, Changsha City that Luo Mouzhong hanged himself in the toilet of another psychiatric hospital in Changsha at noon on August 23rd, and the police have ruled out homicide.
On August 25th, Jimu News reporters learned from multiple interviews that the news of Luo Mouzhong's death is true. Luo Wenren, the younger sister of Luo Mouzhong, told Jimu News reporters that she has applied to the police to identify the cause of her brother's death and will hold her nephew criminally responsible.
Cao Yuanze, acting lawyer of Luo Wenren and senior partner of Hunan Jinzhou Law Firm, told Jimu News that Luo Wenren's three sisters learned the news of Luo Mouzhong's death in the morning of August 25. Luo Mou, Luo's son, and Luo Mouhui, his daughter, did not immediately inform other close relatives of his father's death. Luo Wenren and other close relatives believe that Luo Mouzhong is suspected of being illegally detained or involved in criminal activities. They have objections to the cause of Luo's death and have applied to the police for a autopsy.
Lawyer Cao Yuanze stated that close relatives such as Luo Wenren also believe that Luo Mouzhong's death was the result of his son Luo Mouzhong and daughter Luo Mouhui's illegal detention.
Xiong Zhigang, the lawyer representing Luo, the son of Luo, told Jimu News reporters that at 12:56 on August 23, Luo's children received a notice from the hospital that their father had committed suicide in the hospital and rushed to Changsha on the same day. Because they have been cooperating with the public security organs in the investigation, negotiating with the hospital, and later handling procedures such as death certificates, due to their grief and busy follow-up work, the news of their death was only released on the morning of the 25th.
Lawyer Xiong Zhigang stated that some friends and others of Luo Mouzhong's improper visits worsened his condition and he hanged himself. If Luo Wenren and others insist on requesting an autopsy and the police agree, his client Luo will never stop. If the final autopsy report is still a self hanging death previously determined by the police, they demand that Luo Wenren publicly apologize to his client for his inappropriate comments on the internet.
