According to the Associated Press, Kremlin spokesperson Peskov said on July 10th that Russian President Putin met with Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigo in the Kremlin on June 29th.

Peskov said that these commanders gave "their account" of the events that occurred, emphasizing that they were Putin's "staunch supporters and warriors" and stating that they were willing to continue fighting for their homeland.
According to TASS, Peskov said that Putin also made suggestions during the meeting regarding the "future employment and combat use plans" of these commanders.
Peskov also said that Putin invited 35 people to attend the meeting on June 29th, including the leadership of the Wagner Group and all force commanders. He did not introduce any other details about the meeting.
According to reports, on the evening of June 23, Prigoren posted on social media stating that the Wagner Group's rear camp was attacked and that the attack was planned by senior Russian military officials. The Wagner Group troops subsequently entered the Rostov Oblast in southern Russia.
On the 24th, the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement stating that all allegations of "the Russian Ministry of Defense attacking the rear camp of the Wagner Group" spread on social media under the name of Prigoren are false information, urging members of the Wagner Group not to participate in armed rebellion.
Russian President Putin delivered a televised speech on the morning of the 24th, stating that the organizers of the rebellion have betrayed Russia and will be punished for it. The Russian side will take decisive action to stabilize the situation.
