The computing power industry maintains rapid growth, with artificial intelligence accounting for over a quarter of computing power in China
CCTV News: The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released a white paper titled "China Comprehensive Computing Power Index" at the 2023 China Computing Power Conference yesterday. Research shows that China's computing power industry maintains rapid growth, with artificial intelligence computing power accounting for over 25% of the entire computing power structure.
The China Comprehensive Computing Power Index comprehensively analyzes the development of computing power in China from four perspectives: computing power, storage capacity, transportation capacity, and environment. The total scale of computing power in China has seen an average annual growth rate of nearly 30% in the past five years, and the compound annual growth rate of the number of data center racks has exceeded 30%.
Yu Xiaohui, President of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology: The growth of intelligent computing power is 45%, so it is 15 percentage points higher than the overall scale growth. The proportion of artificial intelligence computing power in the overall computing power structure has increased to 25.4%, exceeding a quarter, and there will be even faster growth in the future.
It is understood that from June last year to June this year, the storage capacity reflecting data storage has also reached a rapid growth of 23%. As of June this year, the scale of China's storage capacity has exceeded 1080E bytes. The computing power industry chain in China has begun to take shape, with continuous improvement in computing infrastructure, platforms, services, and operational capabilities, and continuous optimization of the industrial ecosystem.
