At around 22:00 on August 21st, a gas flash explosion accident occurred in Xintai Coal Mine, Gaojiatun Township, Yongping Town, Yanchuan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. The preliminary verification of the cause of the accident is suspected to be caused by a gas explosion exceeding the limit.
According to a statement released by the Shaanxi Bureau of the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau, on April 8th this year, the Shaanxi Bureau of the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau ordered the production to be suspended for rectification of major accident hazards in Xintai Coal Mine, Yanchuan County. In May, the Xintai Coal Mine in Yanchuan County completed rectification. After acceptance by the Emergency Management Bureau of Yanchuan County and on-site review by the Shaanxi Bureau of the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau, it was found that major accident hazards had been rectified. The main leaders of Yanchuan County signed and approved the resumption of production.
