In recent years, the crime of naked chat extortion has shown a high incidence trend, becoming the new type of crime with the most serious social harm in telecommunications network fraud. Scammers attract followers and attract traffic by posting pornographic information on major social media platforms, live streaming platforms, and forum forums, inducing victims to add friends and then sending Trojan app download links to steal information such as mobile phone contacts; Then, by hiring female anchors or playing pornographic videos, they engage in nude conversations with the victims, guiding them to make indecent actions and secretly recording nude chat footage. They then use mass posting of indecent videos as a threat to carry out extortion. Victims often choose to transfer money to criminals due to concerns about reputation and fear of exposure; Some victims have been exploited layer by layer, repeatedly extorted, and even borrowed heavily on online lending platforms, owing huge debts; Some victims choose to commit suicide due to their inability to withstand immense psychological pressure, resulting in serious consequences and negative social impact.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Public Security stated that the public security organs will always maintain a high-pressure situation in cracking down on cross-border telecommunications and network fraud crimes, continue to increase their work efforts, continuously strengthen international law enforcement cooperation, launch a fierce attack on overseas telecommunications and network fraud groups, resolutely curb the high incidence of such crimes, and effectively safeguard the safety of people's lives and property.
