The Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles announced today that a Chinese citizen recently lost contact with family and friends after meeting and traveling with male netizens in the southern California region of the United States. After learning about it, the museum quickly contacted the local police to search for his whereabouts and maintained communication with the family members of the parties involved. As of now, the search is still ongoing.
Recently, the news that a woman from Guangdong, China went missing after meeting American netizens online has attracted attention.
According to Southern Metropolis Daily, on August 2, the Morongo Basin Branch of the San Bernardino Police Department in California, USA, posted a missing person notice on its official account. The local police reported that a 47 year old Chinese woman had disappeared after the last contact with a friend on July 22, and her whereabouts are still unknown. It is hoped that someone with information can provide clues to the police.

The Morongo Basin Branch of the San Bernardino Police Department confirmed that on July 14th of this year, the woman in question flew from China to Los Angeles, California. Afterwards, she took a train from Los Angeles to the Palm Springs area, where a man drove her away and planned to take her on a tour near the Morongo Basin.
The police said that the last time the woman in question contacted her friend through her phone was on July 22nd. She had originally planned to camp at a location in the Morongo Basin, but her whereabouts are still unknown.

Southern Metropolitan Daily reporters noticed that on August 10th, the Morongo Basin Branch of the San Bernardino Police Department updated a new missing person notice on its official account. A 52 year old man named John Fitzpatrick has been reported missing. The man was last seen driving a blue Toyota with license plate number 24478S1.
