The Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles once again reminds that a Chinese citizen who went to the United States to meet a male netizen has lost contact information, assistance, travel status, phone number, consular protection, Los Angeles, and travel
On August 12th, the official WeChat account of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Los Angeles announced that a Chinese citizen had recently lost contact with family and friends after meeting and traveling together with male netizens in Southern California, USA. After learning about it, our museum quickly contacted the local police to search for his whereabouts and maintained communication with the family members of the parties involved. As of now, the search is still ongoing.
Since July this year, our embassy has issued multiple consular reminders on strengthening security measures. Chinese citizens who are already traveling or planning to travel to the Territory are reminded to raise their awareness of safety risks and understand the local safety and security situation in advance when traveling. They should not easily socialize with strangers, travel together, or hitchhike, avoid traveling alone or to sparsely populated and harsh natural conditions, not easily disclose personal information, not show off their wealth or wealth, maintain regular contact with family, and promptly inform family and friends of the specific location, stay time, hotel phone number, and other information they plan to visit.
