On July 24th, Beijing, People's Daily reported that as of July 22nd, the China Laos International Passenger Train has been in operation for over a hundred days, and the Mohan Railway Port has inspected a total of 200 passenger trains, releasing a total of 41735 inbound and outbound passengers from 49 countries and regions across six continents in Yunnan Province.
On April 13, 2023, the international passenger train of China Laos Railway will officially open. This economical, convenient, and comfortable mode of transportation has become the first transportation choice for many Chinese and foreign people for cross-border tourism, learning, business, and cultural exchange. Since China Laos railway is more efficient than sea transportation, more expensive than air transportation, and more expensive than highway, it has also become the first choice for cross-border transportation of Southeast Asian tropical fruits such as durian and mangosteen into China.
