Some netizens reported that on the morning of June 13th, there was a strange noise and vibration in Miaoshan Village, Puji Town, Zhenxiong County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, and the vibration occurred multiple times on that day. On June 14th, the special team for investigating abnormal noises and vibrations in Miaoshan Village, Puji Town, Zhenxiong County reported that since May 26th this year, the earthquake department has monitored 35 ground vibration events in the area.

According to the announcement, after receiving feedback from the public, the Zhenxiong County Party Committee and County Government organized special teams for emergency management, natural resources, earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, and other departments to conduct on-site investigations. After preliminary investigation, there were 35 ground motion events, including 3 with a magnitude above 2, 11 with a magnitude of 1.0-1.9, and 21 with a magnitude below 1. The maximum magnitude was 2.5 at 10:26:36 on June 13th.
While conducting on-site investigations, Zhenxiong County promptly reports to its superiors. A working group composed of personnel from departments such as emergency management, natural resources, and earthquake prevention and mitigation was dispatched by the Zhaotong Municipal Party Committee and Government to Zhenxiong to assist and guide the Zhenxiong County work team in conducting investigations, monitoring and early warning, risk avoidance and prevention of abnormal noise and vibration causes, and strengthening patrols to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
On the evening of June 14th, the reporter consulted with the relevant person in charge of the Propaganda Department of the Zhenxiong County Committee and learned that the cause of the abnormal noise and vibration is still under further investigation.
