This is the first time the West Lake Music Fountain has opened in heavy rain since its reopening on July 25th.
"The rain probably started falling before the fountain opened, and as it got heavier, many tourists got wet." Wu Jincan said, noticing the weather forecast in the afternoon that it might rain heavily in the evening. But citizens and tourists who come to watch the music fountain will not lose their enthusiasm due to the weather forecast of heavy rain.
Starting at 5:30 pm, the West Lake Music Fountain Square began to attract citizens and tourists waiting to watch the fountain.

Wu Jincan said that when the heavy rain suddenly falls, many citizens and tourists are not well prepared. "Citizens and tourists with umbrellas are fine. They opened their umbrellas in time, but those without umbrellas are in trouble. They searched around the square for shelter from the rain."
The sudden heavy rain disrupted the plans of citizens and tourists watching the West Lake Music Fountain, and also increased the pressure of night patrols for police officers. In the heavy rain, the line of sight became blurred, and patrol duty further tested the police's eyesight. Especially after citizens and tourists have all taken up umbrellas, the scene becomes quite crowded and accidents are prone to occur.
Therefore, at the patrol site, Wu Jincan and his colleagues were even more vigilant in order to carry out timely disposal. "In such an environment, patrolling with umbrellas and raincoats becomes very cumbersome." Wu Jincan did not take any rainproof measures and patrolled the scene with his colleagues, helping citizens and tourists handle various requests for help.
"Getting wet is not a big deal. It's hot, so let's just take a cold shower," Wu Jincan said half jokingly. In fact, patrolling the scene in a damp uniform and dealing with various unexpected situations did not make Wu Jincan feel cool, but rather experienced more dampness and heat.
Despite the heavy rain, many citizens and tourists still watched the entire music fountain. "The West Lake Music Fountain in heavy rain is also a taste," said a tourist.
However, for Wu Jincan and the police officers at Liulang Police Station, their anxious hearts will only be relieved when the tourists have basically dispersed.
