According to public information, Wang Xiuming, male, Han ethnicity, was born in September 1965 in Longchuan, Guangdong. PhD student and senior economist. He joined the CPC in April 1988 and started work in June 1989. From December 2008 to April 2013, served as a member of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of Guangdong University of Finance; From April 2013 to May 2015, served as the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission; In June 2015, he was appointed as a member and secretary of the Party Committee of Xinghai Conservatory of Music.

According to public information, Wan Zhonghua, male, Han ethnicity, was born in August 1967 in Chengdu, Sichuan, with a current university degree. He started working in August 1985 and joined the CPC in June 1993. Wan Zhonghua has served as the Party branch secretary and principal of Shuangliu Construction Vocational and Technical School. He was appointed as the principal of Chengdu Electronic Information School in May 2019 and has been serving as the Party committee secretary and principal of Chengdu Electronic Information School since June 2021.
Chengdu Electronic Information School, rooted in basic education from the 1950s to the 1970s, began offering vocational education in 1983. Located in the southwest corner of Chengdu, it is a public vocational high school in Shuangliu District. It has been established as one of the first demonstration schools in Chengdu, a key vocational school in Sichuan Province, and a national demonstration school for the reform and development of secondary vocational education.
According to previous statistics from Pengpai News, during this summer, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission released information on at least 7 university leaders being investigated, all of whom were central or provincial officials.
At the level of central management cadres, on August 6th this year, Zhang Guang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Beihang University, was investigated. At the level of provincial management cadres, on July 10th this year, Sun Guanghui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou Institute of Navigation, was investigated; On July 24th, Wang Rong, former Party Secretary of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, was investigated; On July 28th, Pan Xinxiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Guangdong Ocean University, was investigated; On July 29th, He Shaobin, Vice President of Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and former President of Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was investigated; On August 25th, Wang Weiping, former Party Secretary of Henan Police Academy and former head of the disciplinary inspection team of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection stationed at the Provincial Public Security Department, was investigated; On August 26th, Dong Qinxue, former Party Secretary of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, was investigated.
Adding Wang Xiuming, who was investigated at the beginning of the school year, there are three leaders from Guangdong Province among the investigated universities.
Among them, Zhang Guang, who was investigated in early August, is the first vice president of a centrally managed university to be reported for investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission since the former vice president of China University of Political Science and Law, Yu Zhigang, was arrested in January 2021.
The Vice President of Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and former Dean of Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, He Shaobin, who was investigated at the end of July, was arrested against the backdrop of the current concentrated crackdown on corruption in the pharmaceutical industry.
In addition, Zhang Qingbo, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Liaoning Provincial Public Cultural Service Center, who was investigated on July 21 this year, served as the Deputy Dean of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts until his transfer in July 2018. He has been deeply cultivating in art universities for many years.
Similar to Zhang Qingbo, Dong Qinxue, former Party Secretary of Shenyang Conservatory of Music, and Wang Xiuming, Party Secretary of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, both come from provincial-level art colleges. Both of them have worked in the higher education circles of Liaoning and Guangdong provinces for many years and have served as leaders in multiple universities.
In addition to the recently investigated university leaders, some corrupt individuals who were previously arrested in universities have entered the review and prosecution process.
For example, according to the website of the Supreme People's Procuratorate on August 28th, the case of Li Xiaolian, former president of Xi'an University of Technology, suspected of bribery has been concluded by the Shaanxi Provincial Supervision Commission and transferred to the procuratorial organs for review and prosecution. Designated by the People's Procuratorate of Shaanxi Province, the case shall be reviewed and prosecuted by the People's Procuratorate of Hanzhong City. Recently, the People's Procuratorate of Hanzhong City made an arrest decision against Li Xiaolian on suspicion of bribery in accordance with the law. The case is being further processed.
Li Xiaolian, male, Han nationality, was born in December 1962, with a graduate degree. He joined the CPC in July 1983 and joined the Communist Party of China in June 1991. He once served as the deputy director and office director of Shaanxi Environmental Protection Bureau, a member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of Shaanxi Environmental Protection Department, and the deputy secretary and president of the Party Committee of Xi'an University of Technology. Li Xiaolian stepped down in April 2021 and was investigated in April of this year.
