From March to April, the Cultural Festival has designed five major sections, including an exhibition of Chu history, a grand view of Chu art, a performance of Chu opera, Chu Si Gan Ji, and Chu Di Xun You, as well as a series of sub activities such as the Chu King's chariot and horse formation unearthed cultural relics exhibition and the Jingchu intangible cultural heritage show, showcasing the profound connotation and charm of Chu culture. Especially the opening performance of the cultural festival, through modern sound and light technology, traversing the ancient and modern, connecting history and the future, presents a dreamy and magnificent picture of Jingchu culture to the audience in a panoramic manner. At the same time, the Chu Culture Inheritance and Development Forum and the Chu Business Summit held at the Cultural Festival have showcased to the world that the ancient city of Jingzhou is moving towards a city of vitality, innovation, openness, and confidence.

After two thousand years of historical sedimentation, why is Chu culture so popular? From April 8th to 9th, more than 80 experts and scholars from home and abroad gathered in the ancient city to discuss the past and present of Chu culture at the Chu Culture Inheritance and Development Forum and the 5th Chu Culture Academic Seminar.

Wang Guanghao, former director of the Beijing Art Museum and former director of the Beijing Cultural Development Center, has been deeply involved in the study of Chu culture for decades. He said that Jingzhou is the center of Chu culture, and among the cultural relics of the pre Qin states, Chu cultural relics are extremely distinctive. "As a historical relic of the heyday of the Chu state, Chu cultural relics in Jingzhou blend the solemn and dignified nature of Central Plains cultural relics with the beautiful and lively nature of southern cultural relics, creating unique artistic value."

Li Zhengyu, the consultant of the first Chu Culture Festival and the vice dean and professor of the School of Humanities and New Media at Yangtze University, said that the pioneering spirit of "overcoming obstacles", the open spirit of "pacifying the barbarians and belonging to the summer", the innovative spirit of "achieving remarkable results", and the patriotic spirit of "deeply consolidating and difficult to relocate" in Chu culture are powerful spiritual driving forces for the development of Jingchu.
