On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the proposal of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" initiative, the fifth "the Belt and Road" 100 country imprint short video contest, under the guidance of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Network Communication Bureau of the Central Cyberspace Office, and co sponsored by the China Public Diplomacy Association, the SASAC News Center of the State Council, and Global Network, has officially started. Kwai is the exclusive voting platform of this contest, and Sida Times is the media partner of this contest.

With the theme of "connectivity, building a new chapter together", this competition will take the form of "global general competition area+overseas sub competition area", invite co builders, participants and the public of countries along the "the Belt and Road" to participate together, show the global practice of "Chinese path to modernization" in the form of short videos, and enhance the international community's understanding of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the Chinese spirit.

The competition has started online solicitation, and participants can participate in it as institutions or individuals. In terms of selection mechanism, this competition will establish three stages: selection by the organizing committee, public selection, and expert evaluation. After the organizing committee preliminarily selects the works that meet the competition theme and competition requirements, the public can vote on the exclusive voting platform Kwai of the competition within the specified voting time. The top 100 voted works and excellent works recommended by the organizing committee will enter the expert evaluation stage. The expert evaluation will comprehensively evaluate the visual effects, emotional communication, viewpoint statements, and the dissemination data of the entries on other platforms to obtain the final award result.

Video requirements

1. The video must have complete images, sound, and subtitles, with a video duration of no less than 4 minutes and a file format of no less than 1280 * 720. The format should be MOV/MP4, and the landscape shooting effect is better.

2. Excellent works will be publicly displayed and broadcasted after the competition. Please avoid the appearance of watermarks, corner markers, platform logos, and other signs. Please do not insert any commercial advertisements to avoid affecting the dissemination.

3. Selection steps

The selection of works in this competition will be divided into three steps:

1. Preliminary screening by the organizing committee

The organizing committee will conduct a preliminary screening of the entries, and those that meet the theme and requirements of the competition will enter the public voting stage.

2. Public review process

The Organizing Committee will build a voting platform on the Kwai platform, and open public voting during the online voting period. The top 100 voted works and excellent works recommended by the organizing committee will enter the expert review stage.

3. Expert review process

A team of senior media experts will form an expert panel, who will rate the work from a professional perspective, including visual effects, emotional communication, and viewpoint presentation. The playback volume, likes, comments, shares, and other dissemination data of the entries on other platforms will also serve as reference for expert ratings.

Selection criteria

The final list of winners will be mainly based on the expert evaluation score, and will be comprehensively considered based on the voting performance. The award will be evaluated based on the degree of fit.

2. The "Excellent Organizational Unit" award is awarded based on the number and quality of works submitted by the same unit, to express gratitude to each organizational unit for their support in promoting the competition and collecting works during the event.
