New energy vehicles are easier to charge on mountain islands

Located in the westernmost part of China, Xinjiang Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture spans the southwest of the Tianshan Mountains and is known by locals as the "Land of Ten Thousand Mountains" in the depths of the Tianshan Mountains. National Highway G219 passes through here, with magnificent and beautiful scenery along the way, attracting self driving enthusiasts from all over the country. This year, many tourists are driving new energy vehicles to check in here.

In the first half of this year, Kezhou built 96 new charging stations and plans to build 296 charging stations throughout the year, with a significant increase in coverage and construction speed compared to before. Not only does it meet the charging needs of tourists, but it also drives the sales of local new energy vehicles. In the first half of this year alone, Kezhou sold 196 new energy vehicles, which is higher than the sales volume for the entire year of 2022.

Next, we will build charging stations in the deeper pastoral areas of the Tianshan Mountains, so that the people there can also use new energy vehicles.

Not only in the depths of the Tianshan Mountains, but also on the southern islands of China, large-scale construction of charging stations has begun this year. Nan'ao Island in Shantou City, Guangdong Province mainly develops seafood aquaculture and rural tourism. With the transformation of seafood transportation to new energy transportation methods, the demand for charging piles among island residents is increasing. In order to solve the charging problem for residents, six charging stations were newly built and put into operation on Nan'ao Island in the first half of this year.

Villagers of Jiuxi'ao Village in Nan'ao: This year, a new charging station was built in the village. I discussed with my family to purchase a new energy vehicle, so there is no need to worry about not finding a place to charge when going out. It is becoming more and more convenient.

Nan'ao Island is also the only national 4A level tourist attraction in China. With the opening of the Nan'ao Bridge, the popularity of self driving tours here continues to rise. In order to provide tourists with a more convenient charging experience, charging stations on the island have also been built next to the scenic area.

Mr. Tao, a tourist: I drove all the way from Zhanjiang. Before going to the island, I was very worried about whether there were supporting charging stations on the island. However, I didn't expect that not only are there charging stations on the island, but they are also built near tourist attractions, allowing for charging and playing without any delay.

As of now, local power supply companies have built a total of 12 public charging stations on Nan'ao Island, achieving full coverage of townships.

More than 6.6 million types of charging stations have been built nationwide

At present, China has built the world's largest number, largest radiation area, and most comprehensive charging infrastructure system for vehicles. The latest data released by the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance shows that as of the end of June this year, more than 6.6 million types of charging stations have been built nationwide, an increase of 69.8% year-on-year.

In the first half of this year, the increase in charging infrastructure was 1.442 million units, and the construction of charging infrastructure basically met the rapid development needs of new energy vehicles.

The overall construction of charging stations is characterized by an increasing power of public charging stations and an increasing number of self use charging stations.

Since the beginning of this year, the country has made a series of important deployments to consolidate and expand the development advantages of new energy vehicles. At the same time, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with relevant departments and units, recently studied and formulated "Several Measures to Promote Automobile Consumption", proposing to accelerate the construction of charging infrastructure in rural areas, highways, and residential areas, guide users to widely participate in intelligent and orderly charging and vehicle network interaction, and continuously optimize the environment for using new energy vehicles.

In the past, we have already solved the problem of whether charging facilities are available.
