Zhao Tang, President and Chief Representative of China of the UK China Trade Association, recently stated in a written interview with Xinhua News Agency that the China International Fair for Trade in Services is a grand event to promote trade in services, an important platform for China to gather global cooperation consensus and promote international exchanges.
The 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services will be held in Beijing from September 2nd to 6th. This year's theme is "Openness leads development, cooperation leads to a win-win future". During this year's Fair for Trade in Services, more than 200 summit forums, forum meetings, and promotion negotiations will be held one after another. More than 100 domestic and foreign ministers, heads of international organizations, academicians, and other guests will attend and give speeches. More than 100 authoritative information, such as the China Service Trade Development Report and the World Tourism City Development Report, will be released in a concentrated manner.
Zhao Tang stated that the Service Trade Fair not only provides opportunities for enterprises to engage with government stakeholders, but also a great opportunity for China to showcase its advantages in the service industry and for international service enterprises to reach deals with Chinese partners.
The UK is the guest country of honor for this year's Service Trade Fair, and has formed the largest exhibition group since its participation. According to Zhao Tang, during the Service Trade Fair, the UK Pavilion exhibition and other activities led by the UK Department of Commerce and Trade and supported by the UK China Trade Association will showcase the advantages and characteristics of the UK service industry.
Zhao Tang told reporters that Zhan Chengxin, the President of the China UK Trade Association, will lead a delegation composed of financial service institutions in London to meet and exchange ideas with Chinese regulatory and financial institutions. The UK China Trade Association is actively planning dialogue activities between government officials from both countries and top executives from UK companies, as well as industry dialogues in the fields of finance, sports, and creativity.
Zhao Tang stated that the economies of the UK and China are highly complementary, and the UK service industry has huge development opportunities in the Chinese market. "The UK China Trade Association has always supported exchanges and dialogue between the UK and China, and supported the development of trade and investment relations between the UK and China."
