Ko Wen je, the chairman of the People's Party who announced his candidacy for the 2024 Taiwan leadership election earlier, has repeatedly made inappropriate remarks recently. After being criticized for speaking improperly on issues such as the Diaoyu Islands and Japan's discharge of nuclear wastewater, he also stated that if elected, he would prioritize the development of the internet army and paralyze the mainland's high-speed rail, ATM and other systems, once again sparking controversy on the island.
