Thanks to the huge market demand in the mainland, Taiwanese businessman Lin Ziming has been deeply cultivating precision machinery in the mainland for nearly 20 years, and the company's performance continues to rise.
Lin Ziming comes from Taichung, Taiwan, with ancestral roots in Pinghe County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. He has lived and worked in Zhangzhou for nearly 20 years, and has a deep ancestral bond. He is currently the General Manager of Zhangzhou Donggang Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., founded by his father and located in the Mintai Precision Machinery Industrial Park in Nanjing.

It is reported that the Nanjing Mintai Precision Machinery Industrial Park has 141 precision machinery enterprises, including up to 55 Taiwanese enterprises. The CNC machine tools, machine tool castings, machine tool functional components, precision casting and other products here are exported to Europe, America and Southeast Asia.
As an expert in the field of precision machinery, Lin Ziming was also awarded the title of "Outstanding Contribution Entrepreneur" in the Fujian machinery industry for the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up in 2019. "The focus of our career is all in Zhangzhou. In order to personally worship our ancestors during festivals, eight years ago, our family moved the ancestral deity to Zhangzhou for worship. It can be said that we have truly fallen leaves and returned to our roots," said Lin Ziming.
Lin Ziming said that the industrial cluster effect of the park is becoming increasingly prominent, and the supporting facilities are becoming more and more perfect. Even enterprises in the surrounding areas of Putian and Xiamen have relocated to the industrial park. In recent years, he has also arranged for 12 relevant Taiwanese companies to settle in, "unfortunately, the pandemic has hindered personnel exchanges and project progress for three years."
Fortunately, these Taiwanese companies have resumed production line construction and other initiatives this year. "After new Taiwanese companies enter production, some of the parts needed by park enterprises can be customized nearby, which will further improve the precision machinery product chain in the park," said Lin Ziming.

It is reported that the industrial road in Nanjing County can be traced back to the 1950s and 1960s when a group of internal combustion engine parts enterprises settled in Nanjing. Around 2000, a group of Taiwanese businessmen came across the sea to deeply cultivate the precision machinery manufacturing industry in Nanjing, stimulating local industrial momentum. Lin Ziming's company was one of the earliest Taiwanese companies to settle in, with its parent company being Donggang Precision Machinery in Taiwan.
"Our products are machines for manufacturing machines and machinery, also known as' industrial mother machines', widely used in the industrial field." Lin Ziming said that the company was recognized as a 'national high-tech enterprise' as early as 2012, and has obtained three invention patents and more than 20 practical patent technologies. The CNC machine tools produced with five axes or more have independent intellectual property rights.
"In addition to supplying the mainland market, the company's products are also exported to Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, South Korea, Türkiye and Southeast Asian countries with the help of Chinese equipment 'going global' and the 'the Belt and Road' initiative," said Lin Ziming.
The demand for high-end intelligent equipment in mainland China is expanding, but unfortunately, some high-end technologies still need to rely on foreign imports. This has led to Lin Ziming, who graduated from the University of California in the United States with a bachelor's degree and later pursued a master's degree in information engineering in Taiwan. He has long been committed to research and development of precision machinery and related products, placing special emphasis on innovation and research and development. He also established a "postdoctoral studio" to attract professional and technical talents.
Lin Ziming stated that Taiwan's development of precision machinery is earlier than that of the mainland, with a group of experienced craftsmen. Strengthening technical exchanges and cooperation between the two sides has profound significance. He introduced that currently, the business and technology parts of the company's mainland are managed by his younger brother, who serves as the deputy general manager. He himself is committed to expanding overseas business, and the two brothers work together inside and outside, with a tacit understanding.
"In recent years, the company's mainland and overseas business has developed well, further increasing our confidence in expanding production. Now, the second phase of the 11000 square meter factory has been completed, and it can be officially put into operation once personnel are in place." Lin Ziming said, believing that the company will have a better future.
